New Trailer for THE HANGOVER 3, Mr. Chow So Crazy

Thursday, April 11th, 2013

the hangover 3John Goodman is mad guys, but how could he be with a scarf like that?

Here’s a new trailer for The Hangover Part III that puts the focus back on laughs and plot (the first trailer was a lot of action).  Stu (Ed Helms), Phil (Bradley Cooper), and Doug (Justin Bartha) are taking Alan (Zach Galifianakis) to a psychiatric hospital, but the wolf pack is put at odds with Goodman’s gang of pig masked avengers.  Turns out they want Mr. Chow (Ken Jeong), who stole their $21 million.

Admittedly there are some laughs here, hoping the trilogy ends on a good note.  Will you be checking this out?

The Hangover Part III opens on May 24th.

First Trailer for THE HANGOVER PART III

hangover-trailer

Here is the first trailer for director Todd Phillips’ comedy sequel The Hangover Part III.  I say comedy, but this looks like an action movie.  Let’s hope it’s somewhat different from the previous sequel which seemed lazy at time.   “It All Ends” they claim, will Stu burn Las Vegas to the ground?  I hope so, we don’t need any more movies set there.

The film stars Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms, Ken Jeong, Heather Graham, Jamie Chung, Mike Epps, Mike Tyson, Jeffrey Tambor and Melissa McCarthy.

The Hangover Part III opens on May 24th.  Watch below:

craigslist-joe

Remember when eating fast-food for a month was the crazy thing to do?  Well not anymore.  Here’s a documentary produced by Zach Galifianakis titled Craigslist Joe, it follows 29-year-old Joseph Garner as he attempts to survive for a month relying on Craigslist for food, shelter, wages and transportation.

He wants to find a sense of community that might still exist in today’s world of disconnected people and places.  Will he find it?  Will he ever be seen again?  These are my questions.

Craigslist Joe opens on August 2nd.

Development Hell Freezes Over: Zach Galifianakis to Star in A CONFEDERACY OF DUNCES

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2012

duncesA Confederacy of Dunces has been trying to be a movie for 30 years; it’s been in the hands of many studios, directors and actors, some of them are no longer with us even. What’s the big deal? Well, if you have read the book (I have two copies, I win) then you know just how funny it is. It’s considered by many as the funniest thing ever written and they gave it a Pulitzer too, so there’s that.

John Belushi was once set to star in 1982 but died before meeting the producers. Then came John Candy and Chris Farley, and we all know why we didn’t see those movies. So now hearing that Zach Galifianakis is set to star, he’s got to be watching his diet.

Is comedy hard to adapt for the big screen? Ask people who saw Hitchhiker’s Guide. So here we are with another go at it, Zach Galifianakis and director James Bobin (The Muppets) seem like a good pair to take the chance too. Scott Rudin (Moneyball) is producing, and Phil Johnston (Cedar Rapids) is writing the screenplay.

Check out the books Wiki for more. E-book it tonight.

The-Campaign

Last night on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Will Ferrell showed the first trailer for The Campaign starring Zach Galifianakis and Will Ferrell, and it looks surprisingly funny.  I say surprisingly because I haven’t laughed at much of anything these guys have done in some time.

The film also stars Jason Sudeikis, Dylan McDermott, Brian Cox, John Lithgow, and Dan Aykroyd.

The Campaign opens August 10th. After the jump read a full synopsis and watch the trailer:
