The new trailer for DreamWorks’ Puss in Boots is here for the cat lovers, directed by Chris Miller (Shrek the Third) Boots features the voices of Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, Zach Galifianakis, Billy Bob Thornton and Amy Sedaris.

Can the cat stand on his own without the help of Shrek and friends?  This looks like fun to me, it should be interesting to see if it plays the same way, with a lot of references.  The trailer had me laughing, what about you?  Puss In Boots opens in 3D on November 4th  in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D.

muppetsNo more parody trailers, this is the real deal.  They spoofed romantic comedies and Green Lantern, but now The Muppets have their own feature trailer, and the whole gang is here.  Written by Muppets fan Jason Segel and Nicholas Stoller, the Muppets return to the movies to raise $10 milllion to save the Muppet Theater.

There will be cameos galore (some we don’t even know about yet) that include Zach Galifianakis, Ricky Gervais, Neil Patrick Harris, Emily Blunt, Billy Crystal, and Jack Black

We gave you a teaser trailer and an official poster – and now we have a full length trailer for what is sure to be one of the biggest movies of the year, The Hangover Part II.  I’m surprised they are actually doing the exact same plot as the first time around, someone gets lost, they don’t remember how, so they start putting it together and credits.  This time though, it’s in Thailand.  Are you sold on this sequel?  Will the pay off feel the same a second time around?  Leave your thoughts below.  Trailer: (more…)

Plot Details For The Hangover 2

Tuesday, October 5th, 2010

the hangoverThe Hangover, the highest grossing R-rated comedy of all time is getting a sequel, naturally.  It was a surprise hit and made stars out of the relatively unknown cast.  We posted news about the pay increase for stars Bradley Cooper, Zack Galifianakis and Ed Helms for the sequel, and, of course, Thailand. The Asian country will be the setting according to director Todd Phillips.

Latino Review has uncovered a plot that might make sense:  After a hard night of partying Stu gets really drunk and ends up sleeping with a Thai tranny. The next day the guys have to try and rehash the night and figure out what happened.  There is a lot of sex and drugs in parts of Thailand, that might make up for the fact that the first film was it was really a one time situation, like Home Alone – and we all know how that turned out.  Warner Bros has an announced release date of May 26, 2011 for The Hangover 2.

In the latest episode of Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis, Sean Penn sits down with Zach’s twin brother, Seth Galifianakis.  Jokes, I like jokes.

A John Belushi Biopic Is On The Way

Thursday, August 12th, 2010

johnbelushiScreenwriter Steven Conrad (The Pursuit of Happyness) and The Hangover director Todd Phillips are developing a biographical film about John Belushi’s life, Warner Bros. recently acquired the rights from Belushi’s estate.  Conrad is writing and so far Phillips is only producing, with a director yet to be named.

This is going to be a hard movie to make and when it comes to biopics’, let’s be honest, it’s hit or miss.  All the SNL cast mates that were such a big part of Belushi’s life would basically have to be cast as younger versions of themselves, unless they did some surreal telling of his life with the real people (those that are still around) playing themselves, there’s an idea.

Who will play Belushi?  Some are already speculating Phillip’s friend Zach Galifianakis (The Hangover, Due Date) and Jack Black.  In 2008, Black was quoted as saying he would turn down any offer to star in a Belushi biopic, “His life is not as funny as his work, and watching me do an imitation of him doing his ‘Saturday Night Live’ bits won’t be as funny as watching him do his ‘SNL’ bits.” I think we can all agree on that.
