William Fichtner You Are NOT The Shredder! The New Trailer for TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES

Tuesday, June 24th, 2014

The posters are all here and now the trailer has been revealed. It’s really the first trailer where we get to see all the characters up close and the CGI is very noticeable; if that will be the worst thing about this movie is yet to be answered. One item from the trailer that was especially interesting was the reveal that William Fichtner, who was thought to be playing Shredder, is NOT Shredder. He is seen talking to someone in the shadows (obviously) who then goes mental with the sharp suit. So, one less thing to be confused about.

Here’s the official synopsis for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles:

The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles opens in theaters on August 8th 2014, watch the new trailer below:

The LEGO Movie has released an exclusive featurette on iTunes called Behind the Bricks. The video goes behind the scenes and interviews the cast while they are in animated character of course.  It’s even got Morgan Freeman keeping your attention by reading the phonebook; all is well in the world.  The featurette is on iTunes, we will have an embed ASAP.

Also, the original song “Everything Is Awesome” by Tegan & Sarah and The Lonely Island has been released to listen to below.  I don’t want to brag or anything, but I saw those girls in concert last year, just saying.

The New Trailer for THE LEGO MOVIE Should Make You Laugh

Monday, November 4th, 2013

The Lego Movie is coming out next year just in time for Valentines Day, so you men wondering what to get your lady, you’re welcome.  We follow Emmet (Chris Pratt), an average LEGO minifigure who is mistaken for the most extraordinary person in the LEGO world and is looked upon to save his people from an evil tyrant named President Business (Will Ferrell).  The self-aware level is high and mighty here, I can’t wait.  It’s from the team that gave us 21 Jump Street and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

The film also features the voices of Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Liam Neeson, Morgan Freeman, Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill, and Cobie Smulders.

The LEGO Movie opens in 3D on February 7, 2014, it’s going to be big folks.

Megan Fox Jumps on TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES Set, Film’s New Logo

Wednesday, May 8th, 2013

tmnt, teenage mutant ninja turtles

There are finally some first images coming from the set of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the logo and Megan Fox as April O’Neil.  Not much going on so far, no sign of the turtles…yet.  We can see the the logo for director Jonathan Liebesman’s remake, or is it reboot? Re-imagination?  We will have to wait and see how this thing pans out, everyone have faith?  Here is an image of Fox on a trampoline, likely some CGI/green screen going on.

The movie also stars Will Arnett, Danny Woodburn, Alan Ritchson, Pete Ploszek, Jeremy Howard, and Noel Fisher.

Ninja Turtles opens on June 6, 2014.

How’s this disgruntled nerds…nailed it?

Will Arnett to Star in NINJA TURTLES

Tuesday, April 2nd, 2013

will arnett, ninja turtlesWill Arnett (Arrested Development) who I am currently enjoying in my watching of 30 Rock (I like to wait until the hype goes down) has joined the cast of Ninja Turtles.

We shared with you the cast of the turtles themselves last week, and we all know very well that Megan Fox is April O’Neil.

Arnett’s role is under wraps at the moment, and we still don’t know who will play Splinter or if Casey Jones is coming along for the fun.

The Jonathan Liebesman’s reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is out on June 6, 2014.  You can read my defense on the movie which I am firmly behind…that is until I see Turtles in space.

The lovely looking film opens February 17, 2012 and was directed by Hiromasa Yonebayashi from a screenplay by the legendary animator Hayao Miyazaki and Keiko Niwa.  The voice cast for this English-language version includes Bridgit Mendler, Amy Poehler, Carol Burnett, Will Arnett, David Henrie, and Moises Arias.  Watch out the trailer below:

Ricky Gervais Will Appear on The Office Season Finale

Tuesday, March 22nd, 2011

david brent Ricky Gervais and Will Arnett have been confirmed to appear in the season finale of The Office.  Gervais made a cameo earlier this year as the UK version’s David Brent which you can watch below.

Steve Carell will leave his role as Dunder Mifflin boss Michael Scott at the end of the season.  There is speculation of who might replace Carell, Gervais actually brought the idea of Arnett taking over the role to NBC, so I wonder if this appearance by Arnett is for keeps.

“Had a little meeting with NBC about various things and recommended Will Arnett for a regular in The Office. Thoughts? I think he’s amazing” he said.

The Office season finale will air on May 19 at 9pm on NBC. (more…)
