Edge of Tomorrow, previously known as All You Need is Kill (what’s with Hollywood hating on unique titles?) has had its first trailer released and…it’s not bad. I think I was expecting something more generic and actiony, but this trailer gives the impression we might be in for some mystery and decent sci-fi as well. I suppose it all comes down to your opinion on Tom Cruise in the end though.
Tom plays a member of the future military who is killed immediately yet wakes up and begins living the same day over and over again. He meets up with Emily Blunt who seems to know what’s going on and together…they just might change their fate. Cue the dramatic music.
You can check out the trailer right down below! Take a deep breath now.
Its mission, if they accept it, is to take Star Wars: Episode VII down from the number one spot at the box office on Christmas Day 2015. It’s true, Director Christopher McQuarrie (Jack Reacher) and Tom Cruise have set Mission: Impossible 5 to open a week after Star Wars. [The Wrap]
I enjoyed the last Mission; it was certainly a reclaim of the franchise. Let’s hope they continue to impress with a fifth installment. Cruise will return to play Ethan Hunt; Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton and Simon Pegg are rumored to return but no official announcements have been made.
FYI: MI4 was Brad Bird’s live-action directorial debut.
You may have heard on our Facebook page yesterday that there is another Mission Impossible on the way, more Tom Cruise baby! Brad Bird’s highly entertaining MI: Ghost Protocol gave new life to the franchise so it’s no surprise really. [Guardian]
There’s no official word on who will be writing and/or directing the next installment, but Cruise’s Jack Reacher writer/director Christopher McQuarrie is supposedly in line. Whoever it is, they will develop the film with Cruise and J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot.
It’s being called a science fiction epic and Tom Cruise is unsurprisingly great in it, it’s the film Oblivion and it’s finally opening this weekend after hitting some highs overseas ($60+ million so far). The movie looks to have some great effects; I have no idea what’s going on but I like to look at it. That can’t be a way to sell a movie but it seems to be working. Also, did anyone else catch the Darth Vader looking dude [pic here] in the trailer? I’m going to find out what that’s about.
We have a new trailer for the sci-fi action film Oblivion. The movie stars Tom Cruise as a drone repairman who tries to save mankind after discovering a crashed spaceship. The film also stars Olga Kurylenko, Morgan Freeman, Andrea Riseborough, and Melissa Leo.
Oblivion opens April 19th, watch the trailer below.
Tom Cruise stars in Oblivion, an original and groundbreaking cinematic event from the director of TRON: Legacy and the producer of Rise of the Planet of the Apes. On a spectacular future Earth that has evolved beyond recognition, one man’s confrontation with the past will lead him on a journey of redemption and discovery as he battles to save mankind.
Tom Cruise is set to return to the screen in a re-release of Top Gun, in IMAX 3D! Talk about post conversion. The 1986 Tony Scott-directed “classic” will open in select IMAX 3D theaters on February 8th and run until February 13th. The remastered edition will also debut on a two-disc Blu-ray in 2D and 3D versions starting February 19th.

Here is the first trailer for director Joseph Kosinski’s (TRON: Legacy) sci-fi film Oblivion, besides Tom Cruise looking like he’s in a video game it actually looks like it could be fun. It’s a survival story with a mystery to be solved, and Morgan Freeman being Morgan Freeman.
The film also stars Andrea Riseborough, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, and Melissa Leo.
Oblivion opens on April 19, 2013, watch the trailer and read the full synopsis below:
The new Jack Reacher international trailer makes it look like a fun ride with Tom Cruise at the wheel with more plot and action from director Christopher McQuarrie’s. His adaptation of Lee Child’s novel stars Tom Cruise as Reacher, ” man who exists outside the law and exacts his own brand of ruthless justice”.
The film also stars Werner Herzog, Rosamund Pike, Richard Jenkins, Robert Duvall, Jai Courtney and David Oyelowo.
Jack Reacher opens December 21st.
When a gunman takes five lives with six shots, all evidence points to the suspect in custody. On interrogation, the suspect offers up a single note: “Get Jack Reacher!” So begins an extraordinary chase for the truth, pitting Jack Reacher against an unexpected enemy, with a skill for violence and a secret to keep.
Here is the first trailer Christopher McQuarrie’s (The Way of the Gun) Jack Reacher starring Tom Cruise. It’s an adapted from the Lee Child novel, One Shot where Jack Reacher is an ex-military investigator who uses his experience to track down a sniper. The cast is top shelf with Cuise, Robert Duvall, Richard Jenkins, Rosamund Pike, and Werner Herzog as the villain (that’s awesome).
The film is scheduled to open on December 21st, 2012.
