city-stripThe new City Strip is here! I don’t have much to say about this one other than it’s based on a story I made up in my head; because this is totally how I would react to the situation. You can see the new strip here, learn more about the artist here, and start the journey from #1 here.

kmanI think the NEW City Strip sums up the summer nicely, big movies made big money and big movies made big mistakes. When will studios and suits realize that not every movie has to have a rushed script and release date before a camera rolls?

I guess that’s why I’m sitting behind a computer making Kevin (seen to the left) look like more of a pervert than he really is and not making movies. I make a mean Lasagne though…take that Hollywood!

The City Strip #74 – Dim Future

citystripgangThe new City Strip is here!  I think we are looking at a new series of comics, there a lot of stories about our time at that forsaken place.

Here are some friendly plugs to star off your week:

We recently recorded episode 5 of The City of Films Show, one more to go for the season.  Don’t forget to enter the contest to have your likeness drawn into a City Strip.

The Fall and Holiday Movie Guide is up for your viewing pleasure. Find out what’s coming to a theater near you and make the right choices.  We care for you.

Happy Labor Day!  The irony is that we don’t give Kevin any time off, so here’s a brand new City Strip.  Kevin will join me on the next City of Films Show later this month, which should be a blast!  You can listen to all the shows here, and while you’re at it re-visit all the City Strips today too.  The Internet is going to be very slow, trust me.

The City Strip

There’s a lot of history in this week’s new City Strip.  It could even be about respecting your elder’s right?  You be the judge.  It’s the 70th Strip, last one for the month and features Batman – what else do you need to know?  I just looked at the calendar and noticed the fall season starts in September, wow how time passes.  Kevin gets to draw snow soon, that’s depressing.

The City Strip #68 – One On Every Corner

Monday, August 15th, 2011

citystripgangHey folks, head over to The City Strip to see this week’s new comic, it will put a smile on that face!  If that doesn’t do the job, you can listen to The City of Films Show Episode 4 later this week.  So if those two things don’t put a smile on your face I assume you have a sense of humour and find us insufferable.  See what I did there?

Start The City Strip at the beginning if you haven’t before.

Listen to our short yet very insightful shows here and take note of those keywords and send them to us, you could be drawn into a comic beating up Justin Bieber who knows.

New comic here.

citystripgangHi everyone, welcome to another week in The City of Films. It’s Monday so we have a brand new City Strip comic for you. So you have that, that’s safe. So you can leave now OR you can stay the entire week and get a lot of news, trailers and other movie nonsense.

You’ll make the right choice I’m sure.

Check out the new comic and while you’re at it, the last City of Films Show which featured all the talents behind our website, and me, is good to go if you haven’t listened.

It’s that time again for a City Strip comic; we do this every Monday actually so it’s no surprise to you.  Unless you’re new to the site then you have 64 other comics to read, unless you just come here sometimes and have seen a few…ugh forget it.  Kevin (the webcomic guy) did a fine job once again, I can’t wait to see what he does when he puts the winner of the City of Films Show contest into their very own comic!   Cheap plug?  Yes, so listen to the episodes here and enter to win.  See the new comic here.

Better late than never I always say (I said it once).  Welcome to another glorious week in the City of Films.  It’s a slow news day as many of us are celebrating (Independence Day) or still getting over other celebrations (Canada Day).  I’m not one to celebrate much of anything, especially if it involves fireworks.

Never understood fireworks, don’t get it.  If it was one big explosion for about 10 seconds, I could get behind it.  But when it goes on for over 10 minutes, kill me.  So I took the easy way out and hid in my recroom watching movies.  You can never watch Inception or The Simpsons Movie too many times.

Oh, here’s the comic.

The City Strip # 60 – Wet Dreams

Monday, June 20th, 2011

citystripgangHere we are then; another City Strip is here to fill the void in our Monday. Sixty, can you believe it? Kevin’s broken wrists can. Speaking of whom, Kevin joined me on The City of Films Show (listen to it here) and made quite the impression on our readers/listeners. One gentleman sent along some feedback: “Kevin, dude…best Muppet voice ever!” I kid I kid…we don’t have listeners.

In honor of Ricky Gervais Week, see the two comics where he appeared…sort of.  Someday Ricky, someday.
