Here are the nominations for the 86th Academy Awards or “The Oscars” is you’re nasty.  The leaders are American Hustle and Gravity lead with 10 nominations each, 12 Years a Slave has 9 nominations.  I’m happy to see Wolf of Wall Street earn five nominations including Best Picture, Director (Scorsese), Best Actor (DiCaprio), Supporting Actor (Jonah Hill) and Adapted Screenplay.  Feel free to make your own assumptions about who got snubbed (Robert Redford) and shake your fist in the comments.

The 86th Oscars will be broadcast March 2nd on ABC.

shame

The first trailer was released for Steve McQueen directed film Shame last month, we now have the new domestic trailer for the Michael Fassbender and Carey Mulligan’s starring NC-17 rated film. Brandon (Fassbender) is a thirty-something man living in New York who is unable to manage his sex life. After his wayward younger sister moves into his apartment, Brandon’s world spirals out of control.

Not too much changed from the other trailer, the NC-17 screen is there to excite some people.  The film was directed by Steve McQueen, and it’s been getting great reviews from film festivals. Good on Fox Searchlight for going with the strong rating rather than edit the picture.  Shame hits December 2, watch the trailer below:

shame

The first trailer has been released for Steve McQueen directed film Shame starring Michael Fassbender and Carey Mulligan.  Brandon (Fassbender) is a thirty-something man living in New York who is unable to manage his sex life. After his wayward younger sister moves into his apartment, Brandon’s world spirals out of control.

The Brendan character certainly seems to have an unhealthy obsession with sex, he’s addicted.  I enjoyed the trailer; the film is looks to have some nice cinematography and strong performances that shouldn’t go unnoticed.  Hit the jump to check out the international trailer.  Shame opens in limited release on December 2nd.
