The kids these days may know him as the man with the Tiger in The Hangover, but people as old as me remember him as “The Baddest Man on the Planet”. I’m talking about Mike Tyson, who’s life is being brought to HBO in the form a of a TV series.
THR reports that the network has ordered a pilot for Da Brick, which is “loosely based on Tyson’s early life in the ring and “will reflect aspects of Tyson’s upbringing”. The project is to be directed by Spike Lee and John Ridley will write and serve as showrunner. The show will take place in Newark, N.J., which is often dubbed “Brick City”.
