What did you say about Tango & Cash?
What did you say about Tango & Cash?

Stallone wanted to clear up the details on RAMBO 5, as well as his other upcoming film.  So he sent an email to STALLONEZONE that I found on  JoBlo to discuss the status: From Sly

Hi Craig, To all the loyal SZoners out there I’m letting you know that Rambo has changed course and the story about hunting the man/beast will be done using another character in the lead. RAMBO himself will be heading over the border to a violent city where many young women have vanished.  There will be blood.

If you saw Rambo last year then you know that when he says “there will be blood”, Sly means it.  What a come back.

expendables
See that lens flare on the title banner?  I did that.  Why?  Because a trailer this kick ass deserves it.  Well it’s more of a promo…tromo?  Make it happen.  In this tromo we get a great look at what kind of action we are in for.  We get to see Drago looking more and more like Viggo.  Jet Li even tosses in some borderline racist comments.  I didn’t see any Stone Cold Stunners though.  Eric Roberts has some evil looking scenes in the movie much like he did in The Dark Knight; remember when Rourke called him out and told people to hire him?  Classic.  Seriously look at this cast, this must be for getting Rocky and Rambo right after so many years.  At 63 Stallone shows no signs of slowing down, he is giving us another Rambo and that long awaited Edgar Allan Poe movie might happen.  Keep them coming Sly, for evermore.

fans love them some rambo art

Variety says another Rambo is a go; so is this John Rambo II? Rambo II? Rambo V? Who cares?!  There is going to be more exploding bodies (video after the jump) and this time it might be about getting revenge on Mexicans (perhaps for how they treated Chevy Chase?)  Actually they say he will fight his way “through human traffickers and drug lords to rescue a young girl abducted near the U.S.-Mexico border.”

After the successful release of Rambo 4 (just called Rambo) there was some talk about making a possible fifth film.  Millennium Films have officially announced a greenlight for Rambo’s fifth mission, with Sylvester Stallone signed on to return to star and also direct. No word on if Stallone will also write this latest adventure, but I would say it’s a strong possibility considering that he wrote the screenplays for the previous films.  Sly think it over…what people want is another Cobra (just me?), so…sort it out.
