transformers

If you missed a chance to see Transformers: Dark of the Moon on an IMAX screen, Michael Bay has a solution for you!  Paramount has decided to re-release Transformers 3 in 246 North American IMAX theaters from August 26-September 8.  The film has been “digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience with proprietary IMAX DMR (Digital Re-mastering) technology for presentation in IMAX 3D.”

If anyone out there can tell me just what the bloody hell that means, I’ll own you a Coke.   To be fair, I’m told the movie is worth seeing in IMAX, I can’t tell you who told me this, it might have been a comic strip.

The full theatrical trailer is here for Michael Bay‘s Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon, and it’s everything you want from a Transformers movie and John Turturro.  We get a galore of explosions and shots of Optimus Prime kicking ass, it’s glorious.  Frances McDormand makes an appearance, threw me off too.

Can Michael Bay make up for Transformers 2?  Will his first use of 3D make me like 3D?  Check out the HD trailer at Apple or watch below.  Leonard Nimoy!  July 1st baby!

Synopsis:

When a mysterious event from Earth’s past erupts into the present day it threatens to bring a war to Earth so big that the Transformers alone will not be able to save us. The movie stars Shia LaBeouf, John Turturro, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Patrick Dempsey, Kevin Dunn, with John Malkovich and Frances McDormand.

indiana jonesWhen Shia LaBeouf isn’t publicly badmouthing Indiana Jones, he is telling people that he’s been talking to Spielberg about a fifth Indiana Jones film, that the screenplay is being written, that Spielberg “pitched” the idea to him, and that it sounds “crazy” and “really cool.”

Crystal Skull made nearly $800 million worldwide and brought about lots of discussion about whether or not it was ever necessary (it wasn’t) and if it was any good (it was OK).  My thoughts on a fifth one are more or less the same; we don’t really need it (but I guess we have to see Mutt grow up) but it will probably be fun.  Lucas get your 3D digital effects ready big boy!  As a bonus, the video below will make you angry.  Do we need a 5th Indy Citizens? • Shia Labeof think Indiana Jones 4 sucked too!  Yet, he blames himself…I guess he want’s to work again but still, no one believes that. [geektyrant]
  • Fox is working on an animated Napoleon Dynamite show.  Gosh! [getthebigpicture]
  • Martin Scorsese is working on a George Harrison documentary.  Ugh, make the Sinatra film already. [exclaim]

Harrison Ford Talks Indiana Jones 5

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010
The creative process.

The creative process.

Thank you Mr. Ford for reminding me of the monkeys in Indy 4, sigh.  Harrison Ford has been talking to the BBC, and has revealed that an idea is in place for a sequel to Indiana Jones; “Steven (Spielberg) and George (Lucas) and I are sort of agreed on a germ of an idea,” claimed the star. “We’re seeing what comes of it.”

“The process works like this,” he explained. “We come to some basic agreement and then George goes away for a long time and works on it. Then Steven and I get it in some form, some embryonic form. Then if we like it, we start working with George on it and at some point down the line it’s ready and we do it.”

Ford might be seventy by the time filming starts, which could point towards the start of a new Shia LaBeouf led franchise via a passing of the hat.  Right now it sounds like they are only at step one. If a fifth Indiana Jones movie ever happens, it’s very likely we won’t see it for some time.  And for anyone wondering why they want to make another one, here is your answer:

wall street 2 trailer, lolz big phone

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

I think most people on the internet talking about this trailer are just as excited as me to see the old thick phone was not forgotten.  Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps gets released on April 23rd of this year and is not straight to DVD, this shit is real.  Oliver Stone even returns to direct and Michael Douglas reprises his role.  We even get Shia LaBeouf!  Will this make up for World Trade Center?  Could do, this trailer has rock music.  Unofficial poster after the jump.

new transformers 2 trailer

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

The brand new Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen trailer is here.  We got Shia LaBeouf sweating and we got Megan Fox acting like a big whore.  It’s all here!  I can smell the popcorn already.  John Turturro is back and might just be more annoying in this one, comic relief isn’t a game people.  Contrary to claims, Megatron is alive and well in this trailer.  Michael Bay obviously kicked things up a notch for the sequel, which appears a tad darker and hotter.
