This is the trailer for Wrath of the Titans, the sequel to Clash of the Titans which I never saw and don’t have much regret about. There is a lot of monsters here, all in ugly CGI with obvious 3D face shots that are embarrassing. So it’s going to make a lot of money like the first one is what I’m saying. It could be silly enough to watch though, just look at that two headed thing, I’m laughing already.
Wrath of the Titans will be released March 30, 2012. The trailer and synopsis are below:

Anchor Bay has released the official new trailer for the upcoming serial killer thriller The Killing Fields, which stars Sam Worthington, Chloe Moretz, Stephen Graham and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. The movie will hit limited theaters on October 7. The film looks like it’s going to be a very intense and dark, I get a Seven vibe watching it. One has to wonder what became of the script that Danny Boyle once described as “almost too dark to get made”. Did they go re-write crazy and make it more for the masses? We will have to wait and see.
The film is based on a true story about a pair of police officers who undertook to solve two decades of disappearances and homicides totaling as many as 60 victims in the industrial wastelands surrounding Gulf Coast refineries.
Check out the trailer for the film below:

Set in New York City, Last Night is the story of a married couple that while apart for one night, is confronted by temptation that may decide the fate of their marriage. Joanna (Keira Knightley) and Michael Reed (Sam Worthington) are 7 years into a successful and happy relationship. They are moving along in their lives together until Joanna meets Laura (Eva Mendes), the stunningly beautiful work colleague whom Michael never mentioned. While Michael is away with Laura on a business trip, Joanna runs into an old but never quite forgotten love, Alex (Guillaume Canet) and agrees to have drinks with him. As the night progresses and temptation increases for the couple, each must confront who they are inside and outside of their relationship. Last Night is ultimately a film about choices – the choice you make to be with someone, to give yourself physically and emotionally, and how to survive all three.
Last Night opens limited on May 6. Enjoy the trailer below: (more…)

I saw AVATAR this past weekend with no expectations. Believe it or not, I stayed clear of a lot of hype – you might thank me for not posting a million stories on CoF about it. This was my FIRST 3D movie; I was unaware of this non-option as well until the nice gal at the Box Office informed me it’s only in 3D. So was it everything the internet world has said it is? Yes. Yes it is. New technology had to be created to make this movie, James Cameron held out until it was invented. The man has patience. He’s told a story that isn’t from a comic, teen novel, or TV show. This movie is why theater going will never die (so I hope). There should be a lot of comparisons to Star Wars; Cameron has created just as Lucas did; a new world of exploration, characters and storytelling. The movie going experience itself was nothing short of extraordinary and I would like to do it again. This was the event of the year and the best way to send 2009 into history.
