CoF Weekend Preview: Charlize Theron Stars in Prometheus Next Week, Spend Money Then

Friday, June 1st, 2012

Toight like a tiger.

Welcome to The CoF Weekend Preview, here is a look at what’s opening this weekend and don’t forget to check out the City of Films SUMMER MOVIE GUIDE so you can plan your summer movie experience.  See you here Monday for a new City Strip.

Snow White and the HuntsmanRT (48%) – Trailer

If I offend you with my dislike for Kristen Stewart, that’s a shame.  She is an awful actress and I’ve known this before the Twilight movies.  Charlize Theron is the whole package and could make this one worth seeing, it’s a story that’s been told or butchered many times already.

Piranha 3DDRT (19%) – Trailer

This would be for all the boys out there who forgot free breasts existed on the Internet.  Also, David Hasselhoff and Gary Busey are both in this movie, how did the set not burn down on several occasions?

Also Opening: High School

PIRANHA 3DD Trailer: Hasselhoff, Lloyd, Busey, Gratuitous Boob Shots, and Ving Rhames-Gunlegs

Thursday, March 1st, 2012

" the pool!"

I could have gone with boobs for the header image here, but I’m a classy guy, so you can see them here.  This movie looks ridiculous and I probably won’t see it until it’s on a late night movie channel.  I don’t fault the makers of this movie at all; they’re putting it all out there and people will go see it for the very reasons they list.  It’s only fair that the people paying for this get part of the blame.

Hit the jump to check out the trailer, there’s a story in there somewhere too which goes as follows:

Having awoken from their spring break extravaganza at Lake Victoria, the swarm heads upstream where they look to make a meal out of Big Wet, a local water park where when it comes to fun, nobody does it wetter! Though they came to get wet, get loaded and get some, the staff and patrons get more than they bargained for when they must face the fiercest, most bloodthirsty piranhas yet. Lead by the strong-willed, studious Maddy and her friends, Barry and Kyle, the trio must dive in and take on these man-eating creatures using every ounce of their being…but can they be stopped?

I never saw Piranha 3D, I pretty much just imagined how it would be and that was good enough.  I did hear good things, how it was very exploitative and aware of itself.  We now have Piranha 3DD and a teaser trailer below.

The new film takes place in a water park; I didn’t see a lot of kids though, too bad.  Check out the Hoff and  Ving Rhames’s gun-leg below:
