Today’s Links are brought to you by: TWIN PEAKS.  Created by David Lynch and Mark Frost the series was set in the fictional town of Twin Peaks in northeast Washington state and tells the story of FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper and his investigation of the murder of a popular local teenage schoolgirl, Laura Palmer.

Twin Peaks became one of 1990s’ top-rated shows, a critical success both nationally and internationally. Reflecting its devoted cult fan base, the series became a part of popular culture, referenced in other television shows, commercials, comic books, video games, films and song lyrics. In 2007 Twin Peaks was listed as one of Time magazine’s “100 Best TV Shows of All-TIME.”

Pictured to the left is the Twin Peaks: The Definitive Gold Box Edition DVD which I picked up last year after a small price drop.  Worth every penny just to see David Duchovny in drag. Click to see the links, you know you wanna…

I think most people on the internet talking about this trailer are just as excited as me to see the old thick phone was not forgotten.  Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps gets released on April 23rd of this year and is not straight to DVD, this shit is real.  Oliver Stone even returns to direct and Michael Douglas reprises his role.  We even get Shia LaBeouf!  Will this make up for World Trade Center?  Could do, this trailer has rock music.  Unofficial poster after the jump.

no thank you

no thank you.

Brought to you by: Orbitz

A soft drink that had small edible balls floating in it.  Introduced around 1996 and quickly disappeared due to small edible balls floating in it poor sales.  The small balls remained suspended with assistance from an ingredient known as gellan gum.  The gellan gum provided a support matrix – something like a microscopic spider web.

You know when you are camping or even just drinking outside and you set your cup down, the cup of course filled with a proper soft drink such as Dr. Pepper or Iron-Bru?  Well, it often happens that when you take your next gulp from said drink, you spit it out due to the feeling that a floaty (most likely nothing, but sometimes a bug) was in your cup.  Gross hey?  Yeah…way to package that Orbitz.
