There are finally some first images coming from the set of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the logo and Megan Fox as April O’Neil. Not much going on so far, no sign of the turtles…yet. We can see the the logo for director Jonathan Liebesman’s remake, or is it reboot? Re-imagination? We will have to wait and see how this thing pans out, everyone have faith? Here is an image of Fox on a trampoline, likely some CGI/green screen going on.
The movie also stars Will Arnett, Danny Woodburn, Alan Ritchson, Pete Ploszek, Jeremy Howard, and Noel Fisher.
Ninja Turtles opens on June 6, 2014.
Deadline reports that the rest of the Ninja Turtles have been cast; over the weekend we told you Alan Ritchson (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) is set to play Raphael. We now know that Pete Ploszek (Parks and Recreation) will play Leonardo, Jeremy Howard (Breaking Bad) will play Donatello and Noel Fisher (Shameless) will play Michelangelo. Did we mention Megan Fox was playing April O’Neill.
Jonathan Liebesman (Wrath of the Titans) will be directing the film that will take a less costume approach and use motion capture technology (Avatar). Who do you think will play Shredder or Splinter?
Ninja Turtles come out of their shells June 6, 2014.
One of our heroes in a half shell have officially been cast for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot currently in the works (called Ninja Turtles). Alan Ritchson, Aquaman in the Smallville series, will play the part of Raphael in the upcoming reboot. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be directed by Jonathan Liebesman and will be a live action film. Alan Ritchson joins Megan Fox, already cast as April O’Neil.
It is scheduled to be released on May 16, 2014. Cowabunga!
The Internet said that Megan Fox and Michael Bay had a falling out during Transformers (she called him Hitler), but now it seems all is well between the two. Bay announced on his blog that Fox has been be cast in his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot simply titled Ninja Turtles.
“TMNT: we are bringing Megan Fox back into the family!”
Some sites are saying she will be playing intrepid reporter and good-natured friend to reptiles April O’Neil. I don’t see any confirmation on that so I’ll leave it for now. Casting is currently underway for unknowns to play the heroes in a half-shell, who will be motion capture animated in the live-action/CG hybrid picture due out in 2014.
A new trailer [here is the first one] for director Judd Apatow’s This Is 40 is here, it’s a follow up to Knocked Up. The movie follows Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann’s characters as they approach middle age. I expect some laughs and crude humor, as well as some sweet moments; it’s an Apatow movie after all. Albert Brooks plays Rudd’s father, now that’s something to see.
The movie also stars Megan Fox, Chris O’Dowd, Lena Dunham, Ryan Lee, Charlene Yi, Robert Smigel, Wyatt Russell, Melissa McCarthy, Jason Segel and John Lithgow.
This Is 40 opens on December 21st, watch the trailer below:
Here is the first trailer for Judd Apatow’s This Is 40, the “sort-of sequel” to Knocked Up. It takes a look at the lives of Pete (Paul Rudd) and Debbie (Leslie Mann) a few years after the events of Knocked Up. There could be a great movie here, a dramedy of dealing with aging and adulthood is something Apatow should be good at as his body of work (Freaks and Geeks, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Funny People) has tackled it somewhat before.
This Is 40 opens on December 21st 2012.
Writer/director/producer Judd Apatow (The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Funny People) brings audiences This Is 40, an original comedy that expands upon the story of Pete (Paul Rudd) and Debbie (Leslie Mann) from the blockbuster hit Knocked Up as we see firsthand how they are dealing with their current state of life.
Here is the first trailer for the comedy Friends with Kids, it was written, directed by, and stars Jennifer Westfeldt (Kissing Jessica Stein). The rest of the stellar cast includes Adam Scott, Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Chris O’Dowd, Megan Fox and Edward Burns.
It’s another story of adult psychopaths doing something dumb teenagers wouldn’t even do, but they learn a lesson at the end, relatable to no one. Adam Scott should be in better movies don’t you think?
The last two singles in the group observe the effect that kids have had on their friends’ relationships and wonder if there’s a better way. They decide to have a kid together – and date other people.
Friends with Kids opens March 9th, watch the trailer below.
