Here is the first trailer for director Baltasar Kormakur‘s (Contraband) 2 Guns. The movie is based on the graphic novel of the same name and stars Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg in an implausible story of two operatives from two different government bureaus who go undercover against each other only to be set up and forced to go on the run together.
The film also stars Paula Patton, James Marsden, and Edward James Olmos.
2 Guns opens August 2nd. Check out our Superheroes of 2013 post here!
We have a new red-band trailer for director Michael Bay’s upcoming dark comedy Pain & Gain. So this is said to be based on a true story, keep that in mind as you watch.
The film stars Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson as two bodybuilders who get caught up in an extortion ring and kidnapping scheme that goes terribly wrong, obviously.
The film also stars Anthony Mackie, Rob Corddry, Ed Harris, and Tony Shalhoub.
Pain & Gain opens on April 26th.
The onslaught of superhero and comic book movie adaptations over the years isn’t slowing down any time soon, and 2013 is proof of this. Some of these movies rank high on must see lists; others might be left in the dust. Whether you’re going to stream superhero movies or check them out in theaters, there will be a lot of options waiting for you.
A superhero is a type of character possessing “extraordinary or superhuman powers” and is dedicated to protecting the public. That’s how I got away with including some questionable “superhero” movies here folks. That’s why I wear a bow tie.
Find out what’s coming out and when. Let us know what movie you’re most excited for:
I don’t know why I even had to tell you this was a Michael Bay movie, the trailer does it for me. It’s over the top and looks like a lot of fun…bizarre fun.
The film stars Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson as two bodybuilders who get caught up in an extortion ring and kidnapping scheme that goes wrong.
These two sharing the same screen seems to work, there are some nice comedic moments here. The film was made on a budget of on $22 million, so it’s going to do very well me thinks. Hit the jump to watch the trailer.
Anthony Mackie, Rob Corddry, Ed Harris, John Turturro, and Rebel Wilson also star.
Pain and Gain opens April 26, 2013.
We have two trailers for Broken City for you to watch below, the Allen Hughes (The Book of Eli) directed thriller stars Mark Wahlberg
as a private detective who is hired to identify the lover of a powerful politician’s (Russell Crowe) wife (Catherine Zeta-Jones).
It will be nice to see these two actors come to blows; if there is a phone in the room though, my money is on Crowe. The film also stars Jeffrey Wright.
Broken City opens on January 18th.
In a broken city rife with injustice, ex-cop Billy Taggart (Mark Wahlberg) seeks redemption–and revenge–after being double-crossed and then framed
by its most powerful figure, the mayor (Russell Crowe). Billy’s relentless pursuit of justice, matched only by his streetwise toughness, makes him an
unstoppable force–and the mayor’s worst nightmare.

An international trailer for Hitchcock:
If you want to see how Seth MacFarlane played a Teddy Bear in his upcoming movie Ted opening everywhere this weekend, check out the video below. I’ll give you a hint, it’s motion-capture. I’m looking forward to his first feature film; you can see a red-band trailer we posted over here.

Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane brings his boundary-pushing brand of humor to the big screen for the first time as writer, director and voice star of Ted. In the live action/CG-animated comedy, he tells the story of John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg), a grown man who must deal with the cherished teddy bear who came to life as the result of a childhood wish…and has refused to leave his side ever since.
