International Trailer for THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE; Coldplay Confirmed for Soundtrack

Friday, August 9th, 2013

Watching the first Hunger Games movie I knew there was something missing, and it wasn’t just a tripod to relieve me of shaky cam headache.  It was Coldplay.  Coldplay should be on every soundtrack and not just background music for X-Factor tryout tears.  It’s been confirmed they will be releasing an original song from the soundtrack called “Atlas” on August 26th.  Sleep well everyone.

There is also an international trailer for the film that shows off some new footage. Watch the trailer and see a new image of Jennifer Lawrence in all her Katniss goodness below:

Liam Hemsworth, Sam Claflin, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Donald Sutherland, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jena Malone, Jeffrey Wright, and Amanda Plummer star.

hunger games

Here is the first trailer for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. There is more darkness this time around, Katniss even gets punched in the face by a hired goon!  President Snow (Donald Sutherland) is trying to tear down the inspiring image of Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and kill her.  The movie will involve “Quarter Quell”, a special Hunger Games where past winners will be forced to fight to the death.  Are you ready?

The film stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Sam Claflin, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Donald Sutherland, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jena Malone, Jeffrey Wright, and Amanda Plummer.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire opens on November 22nd.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.

‘The Hunger Games’ Trailer

Monday, November 14th, 2011

Here’s the first full length trailer for the adaptation of The Hunger Games, the first novel in Suzanne Collins’ futuristic story about teenagers chosen by lottery to fight to the death as representatives of their local district. Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth are the young leads in the film.  You will have to excuse me from my lack of knowledge on just what The Hunger Games is.  I had never heard of it until a few months back when MTV had a fit over the upcoming movie because of some image of a girl with a bow and arrow.  That might mean a lot more to you guys, but it all felt like another tween franchise is headed our way.

Set in a future where the Capitol selects a boy and girl from the twelve districts to fight to the death on live television, Katniss Everdeen volunteers to take her younger sister’s place for the latest match.

The Hunger Games will be released on March 23, watch the trailer below:
