Trailer for THE FIFTH ESTATE Starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Julian Assange

Thursday, July 18th, 2013

Here is the first trailer for director Bill Condon’s (Kinsey) WikiLeaks film The Fifth Estate; I guess HBO had no room in the schedule yeah?  The story is the one you heard about at the dinner table; your angry uncle called Julian Assange a terrorist and traitor, while your older brother (with headphones on, listening to Morrissey likely) said he was a hero.

The reason they may have defended or criticized is Julian Assange (played by Benedict Cumberbatch in this movie) released a series of controversial and history changing information leaks and posted them on the Internet, as you do.  The movie will look at the early days of WikiLeaks.

The Fifth Estate opens on October 11th, check out the trailer below!

Trailer for THE DETAILS Starring Tobey Maguire and Elizabeth Banks

Monday, September 24th, 2012

Well The Details looks like a complete mind bender, and this is just from the bizarre trailer of course.  Tobey Maguire stars as a married man who makes a series of very bad decisions (cheaters gonna cheat) and suffers through the repercussions.  I’m all for dark comedies, but is this what that is?  I couldn’t really tell.  Elizabeth Banks, Laura Linney, and Ray Liotta star in it, so there’s that.

The Details will be available VOD on October 5th and then a theatrical release on November 2nd.  After the odd synopsis, watch the trailer.

When hungry raccoons discover worms living under the sod in a young couple’s backyard, the pest problem sets off a wild and absurd chain reaction of domestic tension, infidelity, organ donation and murder by way of bow and arrow.

Bill Murray as FDR in the First Trailer for HYDE PARK ON HUDSON

Sunday, May 20th, 2012

Historical dramas are all the rage these days, especially British history, people just love those accents and suits don’t they?  Hyde Park on the Hudson stars Bill Murray as President Franklin D. Roosevelt and follows a weekend in 1939 marked by the first ever visit to America by a British monarchy as King George VI and Queen Elizabeth visit Roosevelt’s upstate New York cottage.

Murray looks like he had a lot of fun with the role; you can already hear the Oscar buzz can’t you?  The film was directed by Roger Michell (Notting Hill), and also stars Laura Linney.  Hyde Park on the Hudson opens December 7th.
