stoogesThe question was will Peter and Bobby Farrelly‘s The Three Stooges (a passion project once set to star Sean Penn, Jim Carrey and Benicio Del Toro) be any good?  From watching the trailer below, I can answer this – but why give it away, watch it yourself.

Of course Snooki is in, the movie is set in the present day, it’s also got iPhone gags too – these are things we know!  As for the cast, I have to say the impressions here are good enough.  The original Stooges had impeccable timing though, something I don’t can be captured in modern take with more editing than the Stooges are used to.

Three Stooges opens April 13th, 2012, here’s the trailer and synopsis:

curb

The most celebrated victim of circumstance Larry David is back, and bringing his reign of right to NYC for the eighth season of Curb Your Enthusiasm on HBO.  Ricky Gervais will show up at some point, and from the trailer another hero of mine is making an appearance, Michael J. Fox!

The season premiere hits HBO on Sunday, July 10th. (more…)

One of the best TV shows of all time is returning, and it’s looking great as usual.  Curb Your Enthusiasm comes to New York and we have a short behind the scenes look to get you excited.  In the eighth season of the hit HBO series we see guest stars Ricky Gervais, Michael J. Fox and Rosie O’Donnell making appearances as well as the always welcome J.B. Smoove as Leon.  Note: There was another teaser floating around the net this week but HBO has since taken it away, so this one which I hadn’t seen before might be a rerun for some.

Check it out Sunday, July 10, at 10 pm.

Larry David is back and this time he takes on New York City. The new season of Curb Your Enthusiasm premieres this year only on HBO and they were kind enough to send over a great teaser trailer for the highly anticipated season.  I can’t wait!

Also, as an added bonus I’ve included one of Leon’s best moments.  Watch both after the jump: (more…)

Larry David And Ricky Gervais

Look at that sweet buffer zone.

Variety tells me that Ricky Gervais is going to be on an episode of Curb in the next and 8th season.  They wouldn’t lie to me, would they?  That is fantastic news.  One of the best TV shows of all time and the greatest living person working together is exactly what we need.

Gervais will play himself (although obviously a heightened reality version) in the eighth episode of the season, shooting later this summer to air next year.

Gervais appeared in one episode of the upcoming Louie C.K. show on FX and I am told it was absolutely hilarious.  Here is a video (part 1 of 6) you should watch, Larry David and Gervais meet and basically fall in love.  Sweet really. (more…)

Curb Season 8, Prett-ay, Pretty good

Tuesday, April 20th, 2010

Curb Your Enthusiasm, HBO’s longest running scripted series and one of the best comedies ever is going returning for an 8th season.  Of course it’s on HBO and of course every season seems better than the last.  Last season’s Seinfeld reunion was, dare I say it, gold Jerry!  Every year Larry David keeps quiet about returning, leaving people only to speculate that the show is over.  People who have read his interviews or listened to some DVD commentary via Seinfeld know that the man hates to work, so we should thank him for coming back every year.  Here is the press statement that he made: (more…)

Do I look like a Jew now?

Do I look like a Jew now?

Curb Your Enthusiasm has finally made it to the big screen! Oh wait. So an eccentric New Yorker played by Larry David abandons his upper class life to lead a more bohemian existence. He meets a young girl from the south and her family and no two people seem to get along in the entanglements that follow.

Apple has the first trailer, I laughed a few times. I couldn’t tell you it was a Woody unless it was tossed up on screen. And it is. Check out the trailer.

As for fans of the great Curb, a seventh season began production in December 2008. As of late 2008, HBO has been promoting the upcoming season for Fall 2009.

enthusiasm for the cast of seinfeld

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

Mama seita!  The genius behind Seinfeld, Larry David might have a reunion on his hands.  The cast members of the television series will be reuniting for a multi-episode arc on Larry David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm on HBO says EW.  Curb is one of my favorite shows of all time (see clip below) and makes for some great rewatch value.

The New Adventures of Old Christine sucks so Julia Louis-Dreyfus will get some credit back with this I would think.  Jerry has been taking a page out of Scrooge’s book and swimming in a vault full of coins I’m sure.  Michael Richards and Jason Alexander are…ok moving on.  Three of the cast members (Seinfeld, Dreyfus and Alexander) have appeared on Curb before, but never together.  Curb returns later this year.
