The full theatrical trailer is here for Michael Bay‘s Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon, and it’s everything you want from a Transformers movie and John Turturro.  We get a galore of explosions and shots of Optimus Prime kicking ass, it’s glorious.  Frances McDormand makes an appearance, threw me off too.

Can Michael Bay make up for Transformers 2?  Will his first use of 3D make me like 3D?  Check out the HD trailer at Apple or watch below.  Leonard Nimoy!  July 1st baby!

Synopsis:

When a mysterious event from Earth’s past erupts into the present day it threatens to bring a war to Earth so big that the Transformers alone will not be able to save us. The movie stars Shia LaBeouf, John Turturro, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Patrick Dempsey, Kevin Dunn, with John Malkovich and Frances McDormand.

Trailer: Jonah Hex

Jonah HexWe have the first trailer for comic turned movie Jonah Hex.  It looks like a good version of Wild Wild West in my view.  Machine guns and rock music are certainly in place for all those haters of the western element.  As someone who never read the comic, they might have all the rights in the world for that take on history.  Megan Fox as the main selling point is questionable; I think she’s even trying an accent here.  And what can you say about John Malkovich that hasn’t already been said about greatness.

Jonah Hex hit theaters on June 18th; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think. (more…)

VHS Rewinder

Almost a Batmobile.

Brought to you by: The VHS Tape Rewinder.
I’ll admit that I never understood the need for these things as a kid, seemed like a cash grab to me.  I would later discover that these noisy little boxes were actually putting years of life back on my VCR.

VCR’s were believed to make kinks in the tapes which could mess with playback after several rewinds. The rewinder would rewind smoother and faster. In addition, it would take the wear and tear away from the VCR, and protect the heads of the VCR.  The worst thing you can do to a VCR is rewind a tape, or keep a take on pause (worse for the tape).

These rewinders are not being made any more due to the introduction of the DVD, obviously.

Can you name that mysterious tambourine player in the new Hanson music video that plays tribute to a very special scene from Blues Brothers? Check It Out Here!

The best part of Knocked Up, Role Models and The Hangover, was any scene involving the hilarious Ken Jeong.  Today michaelbay.com tell us that he alongside John Malkovich and Frances McDormand have been cast in Transformers 3.

McDormand will play the National Intelligence Director, while Malkovich will play Shia’s first boss.  The film will be shot in LA, Chicago, Washington DC, Florida, Texas, Africa, Moscow, and China, with pre-shoots beginning in about a month.  What racial stereotypes will Bay have up his sleeve this time?  After the jump, the best of Ken from when he co-hosted WWE Raw.  Seriously.
