So it’s safe to say tSin City: A Dame to Kill For will actually happen as we have some new images here as proof. We showed you the trailer here and some first images here, but after years of waiting I still wasn’t 100% sure it was real.
Josh Brolin stars as the “physically-altered” Dwight (Clive Owen in the first film), who is hunted down by the only woman he ever loved, Ava Lord (Eva Green), and then watches his life go straight to hell. The film also stars the great Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Dennis Haysbert, Jamie Chung, Powers Boothe, Christopher Lloyd, Christopher Meloni, Jeremy Piven, Ray Liotta, Juno Temple, Stacy Keach, and Julia Garner.

Here is the anticipated first trailer for Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s Sin City sequel Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. Josh Brolin stars as the “physically-altered” Dwight (Clive Owen in the first film), who is hunted down by the only woman he ever loved, Ava Lord (Eva Green), and then watches his life go straight to hell. He says the title in the movie! It’s good to see Mickey Rourke on the screen again; he owned this role back in 2005 and seems to be back at home here.
The film also stars Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Dennis Haysbert, Christopher Meloni, Jeremy Piven, Ray Liotta, Juno Temple, Stacy Keach, and Julia Garner.

There are two new images for Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s long awaited Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. The film stars Josh Brolin as Dwight (played by Clive Owen in the first film), who is “hunted down by the only woman he ever loved, Ava Lord (Eva Green), and then watches his life go straight to hell.”
The images show Marv (Mickey Rourke) and Nancy (Jessica Alba) along with a small look at new character Johnny (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), a “hard-luck gambler”. Miller tells EW that Nancy is still dancing at Kadie’s, but she’s been changed by Hartigan’s (Bruce Willis) death. She’s out for revenge and “…is sick of being treated—as she puts it—’a piece of ass.”
The film also stars Powers Boothe, Rosario Dawson, Dennis Haysbert, Stacy Keach, Jamie King, Ray Liotta, and Jeremy Piven.

The first trailer for the comedy A.C.O.D. is here, that title stands for “Adult Children of Divorce” and the film centers on Adam Scott who has been caught in Richard Jenkins and Catherine O’Hara’s ugly divorce for the past twenty years. It’s nice to see Adam Scott leading a movie, if you watch him on Parks and Rec you know how good he can be.
The film also stars Jane Lynch, Jessica Alba, Clark Duke, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Amy Poehler.
A.C.O.D. opens in theaters on October 4th, read the full synopsis below and watch the trailer after the jump.
Carter is a seemingly well-adjusted Adult Child of Divorce. Having survived the madness of his parents’ divorce, Carter now has a successful career and supportive girlfriend. But when his younger brother gets engaged, Carter is forced to reunite his bitterly divorced parents and their new spouses for the wedding, causing the chaos of his childhood to return including his wacky therapist.
We have a release date for Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s sequel (but it’s more of a prequel) to Sin City will open in 3D on October 4, 2013. Rodriguez and Miller co-wrote the screenplay with Oscar-winning screenwriter Willliam Monahan (The Departed). Here is a synopsis via Amazon.
Everyone loves movie trailers; we can’t get enough of them here in The City of Films. It’s an art form that stands alone from the film itself and has a remarkable power to move us. Trailers can give us chills, laughs, goose bumps and some even anger us. We can’t always post them all, so here’s where we play catch up; watch More Trailers:

Robert Rodriguez is a talented filmmaker, and just when you think he’s returning to the mature side of his movie making abilities (Sin City, Planet Terror,Machete), he gives another go at making movies for his kids. So here we have the trailer for Spy Kids: All the Time in the World, the fourth installment in the series of colorful and harmless movies aimed at kids, but really could be fun for anyone I imagine. Ricky Gervais voices a robot dog, that’s something right?
Spy Kids: All the Time in the World hits on August 19, here’s the trailer that might get taken down by The Weinstein Company at any moment. (more…)

The Killer Inside Me, due on VOD and in theaters on June 18th has a new poster and trailer. I recommend you check them out and if you didn’t see the UK trailer before – here it is in all its glory. The official synopsis goes:
Based on the classic novel by legendary pulp writer Jim Thompson, THE KILLER INSIDE ME tells the story of handsome, unassuming small town sheriff’s deputy Lou Ford (Casey Affleck). A quiet charmer of his idyllic West Texas town, Ford has a simple life and a pretty girl (Kate Hudson) to come home to. But when the job brings him face to face with a gorgeous prostitute (Jessica Alba) on the edge of town, Ford’s fragile world cracks – unbridling his own dark urges. In THE KILLER INSIDE ME’S blacker–than–noir universe, nothing is ever what it seems. (more…)
Icon Pictures has released the official trailer for The Killer Inside Me, and it looks like a very dark little movie. Reminds me a lot of No Country For Old Men, maybe it’s the hats. The film has gained a reputation for its brutal violence against women and the lead performance by Casey Affleck. The film was directed by Michaal Winterbottom (24 Hours Party People) and has a very strong cast of actors that includes Jessica Alba, Kate Hudson, Ned Beatty, and Elias Koteas.
The Killer Inside me tells the story of handsome, charming, unassuming small town sheriff’s deputy named Lou Ford (Casey Affleck). The film takes place in an idyllic West Texas town in the early 1950’s. As a lifelong resident, Ford has difficulty juggling his long-term girlfriend Amy (Kate Hudson), the prostitute named Joyce (Jessica Alba) that he mistakenly falls for, and the sociopathic tendencies inside him. In Thompson’s savage, bleak, blacker than noir universe nothing is ever what it seems. The movie opens June 18th. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think. (more…)
