Reel: Patton Oswalt Gets Kicked Out Of Alamo Drafthouse For Texting
The Alamo Drafthouse has a strict no-texting policy that if you don’t agree with, you’re wrong. The Drafthouse does great PSAs (the original angry texter is under the Patton Oswalt video below) so while in Austin to promote Young Adult, director Jason Reitman and star Patton Oswalt made this “Don’t Talk” PSA for them. The ‘Juno’ Duo Is Back, A Trailer For Jason Reitman’s ‘Young Adult’ Written By Diablo Cody
Here is the first movie trailer for the Jason Reitman directed, Diablo Cody scripted film Young Adult, starring Charliz Theron, Patton Oswalt, Patrick Wilson and Elizabeth Reaser. Reitman has made some great films over the last few years including Thank you for Smoking, Juno, and Up in the Air. Diablo Cody hit a high with her script for Juno, winning herself an Oscar for her efforts. So needless to say there is a lot of hype and expectations to be had here.
Young Adult as you will see below looks like a winner, but I am a big fan of Patton Oswalt and as soon as he showed up in trailer I was sold.
Charlize Theron plays Mavis Gary, a writer of teen literature who returns to her small hometown to relive her glory days and attempt to reclaim her happily married high school sweetheart. When returning home proves more difficult than she thought, Mavis forms an unusual bond with a former classmate (Patton Oswalt) who hasn’t quite gotten over high school, either.
The movie is set to be released on December 9th. Watch the trailer below:
