Paramount has released two trailers for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. The Channel 4 Team, Ron (Will Ferrell), Brian (Paul Rudd), Champ (David Kochner), and Brick (Steve Carell) are all back and providing what looks like a lot of laughs.  They are in New York to work at GNN, a 24-hour news network, and another woman (Meagan Good) is bumping heads with Ron.

The film also stars Kristen Wiig, James Marsden, Dylan Baker, Greg Kinnear, and Harrison Ford.  Look for 53 cameos too.

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues opens December 20th, watch both new trailer below:

Here is the new trailer for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, or rather as I said out loud during the trailer “oh hey it’s Baxter!”.  Truth be told: I laughed once in the trailer, and that was at the racism.  I don’t think Veronica Corningstone is around this time around (she is seen once in the trailer I counted) as Ron is dating a new lovely lady.  Brick is as slow as ever, and that’s a good thing.  These could all be good things, it’s hard to tell if they will recapture the funny in the sequel.  What do you think reader?

The film stars Will Ferrell, Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, David Koechner, Kristen Wiig, James Marsden, Dylan Baker, Meagan Good, Greg Kinnear, and Harrison Ford.

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues opens on December 20th.

With the 70′s behind him, San Diego’s top rated newsman, Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell), returns to the news desk in “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.” Also back for more are Ron’s co-anchor and wife, Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate), weather man Brick Tamland (Steve Carell), man on the street Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd) and sports guy Champ Kind (David Koechner) – All of whom won’t make it easy to stay classy…while taking New York’s first 24-hour news channel by storm.

First Trailer for THE BUTLER Starring Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey, and Many More

Wednesday, May 8th, 2013

Below is the first trailer for director Lee Daniels’ (Precious, The Paperboy) “based on a true story” drama The Butler.  The film stars Forrest Whitaker as Cecil Gaines, a butler who served at the White House from 1952 to 1986. The trailer is full of familiar faces and plays as some serious awards bait.  It certainly looks interesting and seeing Alan Rickman as Reagan was a pleasant surprise.

The film also stars Oprah Winfrey, David Oyelowo, Mariah Carey, John Cusack, Jane Fonda, Cuba Gooding Jr., Terrence Howard, Minka Kelly, Lenny Kravitz, Melissa Leo, James Marsden, Alex Pettyfer, Vanessa Redgrave, Liev Schreiber, and Robin Williams.

The Butler opens on October 18th.

Trailer for 2 GUNS Starring Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg

Saturday, March 30th, 2013

Here is the first trailer for director Baltasar Kormakur‘s (Contraband) 2 Guns. The movie is based on the graphic novel of the same name and stars Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg in an implausible story of two operatives from two different government bureaus who go undercover against each other only to be set up and forced to go on the run together.

The film also stars Paula Patton, James Marsden, and Edward James Olmos.

2 Guns opens August 2nd.  Check out our Superheroes of 2013 post here!

Trailer for BACHELORETTE Starring Kirsten Dunst, and Adam Scott Thankfully.

Monday, July 23rd, 2012

bacheloretteBachelorette is a totally unoriginal idea for a movie and there’s proof in the trailer below.  This is the movie Melissa McCarthy’s character from Bridesmaids would have been doing for a sequel.

It’s your typical party movie with an unlikeable cast of characters doing horrible things to each other.  Maybe I’m being too harsh, let me know what you think.

Bachelorette will be available on iTunes on August 10th and hits theaters on September 7th.

Watch the trailer below with the synopsis:

Take a look at the first trailer for buddy comedy Robot and Frank starring Frank Langella.  It looks like a sweet movie that will have nice laughs too; I will definitely be checking this one out.  You should check it out with me as Robot and Frank opens on August 24th.

The ‘Straw Dogs’ Ramake Has a Creepy Trailer

straw dogs

Sam Peckinpah‘s Straw Dogs is a movie that has stayed with me in a very unsettling way.  I saw it years ago and still can’t look at Dustin Hoffman the same way.  His performance was noteworthy for many reasons, but simply put it’s one of the best I’ve ever seen.  Rod Lurie‘s remake has a trailer which puts a screenwriter (James Marsden) and his wife (Kate Bosworth) in the deep South, her hometown.
