New Trailer for CLOUD ATLAS
Here is a new trailer for Cloud Atlas, and it’s another great one (see the extended one here). The film is directed by Lana and Andy Wachowski (The Matrix) and Tom Tykwer (Run Lola Run) and based on David Mitchell’s novel. The all start cast take on multiple roles during different time periods and at different locations – so thank God Susan Sarandon is narrating this trailer or we would all be lost.
The film stars Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Hugh Grant, Jim Broadbent, Hugo Weaving, Jim Sturgess, Doona Bae, Ben Whishaw, James D’Arcy, Xun Zhou, Keith David, and David Gyasi. Cloud Atlas opens on October 26th.
“Cloud Atlas” explores how the actions and consequences of individual lives impact one another throughout the past, the present and the future. Action, mystery and romance weave dramatically through the story as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero and a single act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution in the distant future.

The Trailer for Tom Tykwer and The Wachowskis’ CLOUD ATLAS Looks Phenomenal

Well that didn’t take long. We showed you the first images from the movie and now we have a trailer, it’s unofficially Cloud Atlas day gang!
It’s a six-minute international trailer for Cloud Atlas, a movie based on David Mitchell‘s novel of the same name. It tracks the lives of multiple characters across multiple eras and how they come together in one way or another. I knew the movie was going to be huge in terms of scale and visuals, but wow, this looks like someones messed up dream come to life. They went for it alright, and it’s going to pay off beautifully by the looks of things.

First Look at the Wachowski’s CLOUD ATLAS
Entertainment Weekly got their hands the first photos from Andy and Lana Wachowski (Matrix trilogy) and Tom Tykwer (Run Lola Run) co-wrote and co-directed adaptation of David Mitchell’s 2004 novel Cloud Atlas (out in theaters Oct. 26)
I’m very excited for this movie, the Wachowski’s gave us the amazing Matrix trilogy along with a very underrated gem called Speed Racer (seriously, it’s awesome). It will be interesting to see Tom Hanks in this kind of role, from the images below he looks to be fitting in quite well in this massive movie.
The film also stars Hugh Grant, Halle Berry, Hugo Weaving, Ben Whishaw, Susan Sarandon, Jim Broadbent, Bae Doona and James D’Arcy, each cast member plays multiple roles.
A reluctant voyager crossing the Pacific in 1850; a disinherited composer blagging a precarious livelihood in between-the-wars Belgium; a high-minded journalist in Governor Reagan’s California; a vanity publisher fleeing his gangland creditors; a genetically modified “dinery server” on death-row; and Zachry, a young Pacific Islander witnessing the nightfall of science and civilisation — the narrators of Cloud Atlas hear each other’s echoes down the corridor of history, and their destinies are changed in ways great and small.
In his captivating third novel, David Mitchell erases the boundaries of language, genre and time to offer a meditation on humanity’s dangerous will to power, and where it may lead us.
