LET’S BE COPS Stars the Guys From New Girl, Looks Just As Funny

Lets-Be-Cops

I don’t watch New Girl but I have seen enough of it to know exactly where all the jokes and setups are going, so it’s a little too broad for my taste *sticks nose up*.  In this trailer for Let’s Be Cops, the white guy put on a white sheet to scare the black guy.  I’ve never rested a case for comparison so hard before.

The film stars Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans Jr. as two friends who impersonate police officers only to run into trouble with a dangerous Russian mobster.  Is there such thing as  a friendly Russian Mobster?  It doesn’t look terrible, but it’s all too familiar.  See for yourself I guess as the interracial buddy cop movie opens August 13th, check out the trailer below:

The First Images from JURASSIC WORLD

jp-header

Here are the first official Jurassic World images as filming is underway in Hawaii.  Director Colin Trevorrow had a few things to say to Empire about this movie; the best tidbit of information would be that the dinosaurs won’t be entirely CGI.  There will still be animatronic special effects, so how great is that?  If you have watched the original JP and its sequels in the last few years, you know the animatronics still hold up.  Don’t fix what isn’t broke – you can have that one.

One of the images below gives a first look at Bryce Dallas Howard’s character; Trevorrow described her role as “very corporate, very controlled,” that must be why she’s got bangs till Tuesday and a white suit on.  Nailed it.

The film also stars Chris Pratt, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, Vincent D’Onofrio, B.D. Wong, Judy Greer, Jake Johnson, and Irrfan Khan.

Jurassic World opens in theaters on June 12, 2015, check out the images below:

A Funny New Trailer for NEIGHBORS Starring Seth Rogen and Zac Efron

neighbors

Director Nicholas Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) is back with his comedy Neighbors. Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne are a married couple who must deal with a fraternity that movies in next door.  The frat is run by Zac Efron so you know he’s bad.

I really hope we are not seeing the funniest stuff the movie has to offer, although it’s all very funny here.  I just don’t want to be expecting all this stuff and nothing else when I see it.  Comedy trailers are sometimes brutal for showing too much of the goods just to get people in the seats.

The film also stars Jake Johnson, Jason Mantzoukas, Carlo Gallo, Lisa Kudrow, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.

Neighbors opens May 9, 2014, watch the trailer below:

v

We have the first red-band trailer for director Nicholas Stoller’s (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) comedy Neighbors starring Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne as a young couple who move in next door to a fraternity house.

The couple become victims of pranks as you tell from the funny trailer, Zac Efron could easily steal the show here.  I mentioned a few years ago that the kid had some comedy chops after watching him in 17 Again, I hope he brings it in this adult comedy.

The film also stars Dave Franco, Jake Johnson, Ike Barinholtz, Jason Mantozoukas, and Lisa Kudrow.

Neighbors opens in theaters on May 9, 2014, watch the trailer below:

safety-not-guaranteedWell this is certainly different, check out the trailer below for Colin Trevorrow’s indie comedy Safety Not Guaranteed below and be as intrigued as I am.

In the movie Aubrey Plaza is a magazine intern who goes undercover to investigate Mark Duplass who placed an ad looking for a time-traveling partner.  The script is based on a classified ad that turned into an Internet meme and was originally featured on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in the “Headlines” segment.

Safety Not Guaranteed opens June 8th, watch the trailer below:

FYI: Time travel to the past is called retrocognition which simply means “knowledge about the past.”
