More Bad Posters for X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

x-men-posters

Fox released eight new posters for X-Men: Days of Future Past, and they are exactly what you would expect at this point.  The most recent poster, which you can also check out below, was something you would find on a really bad deviantART page.  I don’t know what happened here or who’s in charge, but these are garbage.  To top it all off, Hugh Jackman’s name is the only name on posters where he isn’t even featured!

In the movie we find Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) who has his consciousness sent back to 1973 in order to help Professor X (James McAvoy), Magneto (Michael Fassbender), and the rest of the X-Men: First Class crew stop Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage) and the rise of the Sentinels, giant robots programmed to exterminate mutants [watch the latest trailer].

X-Men: Days of Future Past opens in 2D and 3D on May 23rd.

The New X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST Trailer is Here

x-past

Here is the the highly anticipated second trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past. This “time” around (right?) Wolverine has his consciousness sent back to 1973 to help Professor X, Magneto, and the rest of the X-Men: First Class crew stop the rise of the Sentinels (giant robots) that are programmed to exterminate mutants.

The trailer is great, it’s much darker than I thought it would be. If you’re looking forward to character drama among the explosions as I am, you should be happy too.

The film stars Hugh Jackman, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Peter Dinklage, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Ian McKellan, Patrick Stewart, Shawn Ashmore, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Omar Sy, and Halle Berry.

X-Men: Days of Future Past opens May 23, 2014, watch the trailer below:

Trailer for THE CALL Starring Halle Berry and Abigail Breslin

Tuesday, January 15th, 2013

the-call-halle-berry

It’s a WWE Studios movie folks!  Here is the first trailer for the upcoming thriller The Call directed by Brad Anderson (The Machinist) and starring Halle Berry.  She plays a 911 operator who, after taking a life-altering call from a teenager (Abigail Breslin) that’s been kidnapped, realizes that she must confront a killer from her past in order to save the girl’s life.

They show a little too much for it not to be predictable, but a fun little thriller anyways by the looks of it.  Michael Imperioli also stars as a guy whose car gets hit. The Call opens on March 15th.

New Trailer for CLOUD ATLAS

Friday, September 7th, 2012

Cloud-AtlasHere is a new trailer for Cloud Atlas, and it’s another great one (see the extended one here).  The film is directed by Lana and Andy Wachowski (The Matrix) and Tom Tykwer (Run Lola Run) and based on David Mitchell’s novel.  The all start cast take on multiple roles during different time periods and at different locations – so thank God Susan Sarandon is narrating this trailer or we would all be lost.

The film stars Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Hugh Grant, Jim Broadbent, Hugo Weaving, Jim Sturgess, Doona Bae, Ben Whishaw, James D’Arcy, Xun Zhou, Keith David, and David Gyasi.  Cloud Atlas opens on October 26th.

“Cloud Atlas” explores how the actions and consequences of individual lives impact one another throughout the past, the present and the future. Action, mystery and romance weave dramatically through the story as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero and a single act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution in the distant future.

The Trailer for Tom Tykwer and The Wachowskis’ CLOUD ATLAS Looks Phenomenal

Well that didn’t take long.  We showed you the first images from the movie and now we have a trailer, it’s unofficially Cloud Atlas day gang!

It’s a six-minute international trailer for Cloud Atlas, a movie based on David Mitchell‘s novel of the same name.  It tracks the lives of multiple characters across multiple eras and how they come together in one way or another.  I knew the movie was going to be huge in terms of scale and visuals, but wow, this looks like someones messed up dream come to life.  They went for it alright, and it’s going to pay off beautifully by the looks of things.

First Look at the Wachowski’s CLOUD ATLAS

Thursday, July 26th, 2012

cloud-atlas-logo

Entertainment Weekly got their hands the first photos from Andy and Lana Wachowski (Matrix trilogy) and Tom Tykwer (Run Lola Run) co-wrote and co-directed adaptation of David Mitchell’s 2004 novel Cloud Atlas (out in theaters Oct. 26)

I’m very excited for this movie, the Wachowski’s gave us the amazing Matrix trilogy along with a very underrated gem called Speed Racer (seriously, it’s awesome).  It will be interesting to see Tom Hanks in this kind of role, from the images below he looks to be fitting in quite well in this massive movie.

The film also stars Hugh Grant, Halle Berry, Hugo Weaving, Ben Whishaw, Susan Sarandon, Jim Broadbent, Bae Doona and James D’Arcy, each cast member plays multiple roles.

A reluctant voyager crossing the Pacific in 1850; a disinherited composer blagging a precarious livelihood in between-the-wars Belgium; a high-minded journalist in Governor Reagan’s California; a vanity publisher fleeing his gangland creditors; a genetically modified “dinery server” on death-row; and Zachry, a young Pacific Islander witnessing the nightfall of science and civilisation — the narrators of Cloud Atlas hear each other’s echoes down the corridor of history, and their destinies are changed in ways great and small.

In his captivating third novel, David Mitchell erases the boundaries of language, genre and time to offer a meditation on humanity’s dangerous will to power, and where it may lead us.

Unbearable Trailer For Valentine’s Day Follow-up ‘New Years Eve’

Wednesday, July 27th, 2011

new-years-eve

The trailer for Garry Marshall‘s New Year’s Eve has been released and left me angry and confused.  Robert De Niro…need I go on?  I don’t tolerate these movies that put a huge cast together leaving most of of them with just a few minutes of screen time all so they can make a fancy poster with pretty faces and big names.  They were on the set for half a day filming what is basically a cameo and I’m supposed to be impressed?  Jog on.

The cast includes Robert De Niro, Ashton Kutcher, Halle Berry, Jessica Biel, Michelle Pfeiffer, Sarah Jessica Parker, Hilary Swank, Zac Efron, Sienna Miller, Lea Michele, Sofia Vergara, Abigail Breslin, Til Schweiger, Seth Meyers, Jon Bon Jovi, Josh Duhamel, and Carla Gugino.

New Year’s Eve opens on December 9th, just in time for…Christmas?  Hit the jump to watch the trailer.
