In the upcoming Simpsons Treehouse of Horror XXII Ned Flanders will be taking on the role of Dexter Morgan from the Showtime series Dexter. The clip below shows The Simpsons take on the opening credit sequence from Dexter, in this episode Flanders believes that God is instructing him to murder various residents of Springfield.
Treehouse of Horror XXII is set to air on October 30th, watch the clip HERE on EW.
Ricky Gervais is teaming up with former Dexter producer, Clyde Phillips, for a new show called Afterlife, “about an atheist who dies and goes to heaven” says Entertainment Weekly. They are writing the pilot episode now and plan to film in 2012.
Ricky talked about it on his blog saying: Dexter has consistently been my favourite show of the last 5 years. When I first saw Clyde’s name all over it I knew I had to work with him one day. I found out he was also a fan of my work and we became friends on email and through short conversations on various red carpets. We finally started working on an idea this year and we really hit it off. I am so exited about this project.
Gervais is currently working with Stephen Merchant on the Warwick Davis-starring comedy series Life’s Too Short, which will air this fall. Watch the teaser here.
It’s been a long while since I have had the chance to sit down, crack my knuckles and speak to the good citizens of the City of Films. While the spotlight has been on The City Strip, I have had a chance to sit down, fire up the telly and watch a few flicks. So to provide a few recommendations, and perhaps some words of warning, here are my thoughts on what I’ve been watching.
