So we begin with my beloved Leprechaun, so many hours of entertainment, some even in space! Variety reports that WWE and Lions Gate Films have signed a deal to produce a reboot of the Leprechaun horror franchise. No names have been attached to the movie yet but the plan is for it to be released in 2013. There is no use not revealing who WWE has in mind for this role; it’s this obvious. I must have rented all the Leprechaun movies a dozen times each, they were that bad.
Now we come to Home Alone, a series which gets worse in order if you ask me. Home Alone 2 doesn’t do much for me, but the original will remain near and dear for good. So it pains me to say that ABC Family has announced the sequel Home Alone 5: Alone in the Dark. It will premiere during the cable network’s 25 Days of Christmas and feature some little kid “terrified to learn his family is relocating from sunny California to Maine in the scariest house he has ever seen!” Traps for ghosts, you got it.
FYI: Leprechaun began in 1993 with Warwick Davis and Jennifer Aniston in one of the first roles of her career. The original concept of Home Alone 3 involved Macaulay Culkin’s character, Kevin McCallister, returning as a teenager.
