THE NEXT THREE DAYS:  Paul Haggis returns to perhaps divide people once again (I for one liked Crash) with a remake of the 2008 French film Pour Elle (Anything For Her).  The trailer started off strong, and then got very over top for my taste.  When movies start throwing in semi-trucks for a climax I tend to get bored.

Synopsis: Life seems perfect for John Brennan (Russell Crowe) until his wife, Lara (Elizabeth Banks), is arrested for a gruesome murder she says she didn’t commit. Three years into her sentence, John is struggling to hold his family together, raising their son and teaching at college while he pursues every means available to prove her innocence.  John decides there is only one possible, bearable solution: to break his wife out of prison.  Opens November 19th 2010.
