Monday, May 12th, 2014

One of the many great scenes from Darren Aronofsky Noah is the adaptation of the story of creation from the book of Genesis. It’s likely to be one of the best moments from the movies this year and should be admired for its creativity and fantastic visuals. Darren Aronofsky’s adaptation does a remarkable job of combining great from a scientific world with religious theology, enjoyable for everyone!

You should check out Noah in theaters if you still can, but in the meantime you can watch “the first story ever told” below.

Here is the Super Bowl Spot for Darren Aronofsky’s NOAH

Thursday, January 30th, 2014

One of the movies I selected to see in 2014 is Darren Aronofsky’s (Black Swan, The Wrestler) Noah, so obviously there’s a lot riding on my assumption that it’s going to deliver.  Paramount has released the Super Bowl spot for Noah online ahead of Sunday’s big game.  The 35-second clip is packed, so sit back and take it all in.  Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Ray Winstone, Emma Watson, Anthony Hopkins, and Logan Lerman star.

Noah opens March 28. Watch the spot below:

Here is a new poster for director Darren Aronofsky’s Biblical epic Noah, a new take on the “Great Flood” story.  It looks and sounds epic, there will even be a big Super Bowl spot to take it home one last time to get butts in the seats.  Russell Crowe is bearded and holding a small axe, it’ go time.

The film also stars Ray Winstone, Jennifer Connelly, Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, Douglas Booth, and Anthony Hopkins. Noah opens in theaters and IMAX on March 28th.

It Begins…Trailers for Darren Aronofsky’s NOAH Starring Russell Crowe

Thursday, November 14th, 2013

The highly anticipated film Noah from director Darren Aronofsky has come forward with two trailers to gaze upon.  The film stars Russell Crowe as the titular character alongside Jennifer Connelly, Emma Watson and Anthony Hopkins.

The Biblical epic Noah looks exactly like what a Darren Aronofsky version of the flood would look like if you ask me.  The visuals are amazing; these are real backgrounds and landscapes in Iceland we are looking at folks.  This could make for some memorable movie watching.

Noah opens on March 28, 2014, watch the official and International trailers below:

Darren Aronofsky Exits The Wolverine, Kills Hope

Thursday, March 17th, 2011

And just like that, the hope of a great Wolverine movie dashes. Darren Aronofsky has exited as director on The Wolverine, the sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine.  The new movie was to see Logan in Japan in a truer version of the character.  Fox has now sent out a press release stating that Aronofsky didn’t want to spend a year out of the country and away from his family which you can read below.  Seems reasonable, but the fear is setting in that they won’t find a replacement with a similar track record of being awesome.  Who do you think should take the chair?

Here’s the press release: (more…)

Darren Aronofsky Reveals Title Of New ‘Wolverine’ Movie

Monday, November 15th, 2010

WolverineDarren Aronofsky (The Wrestler, Black Swan) is directing a Wolverine movie – there you’re caught up.  A new interview with the director revealed that the second Wolverine film is not a sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine and the film, starring Hugh Jackman, will simply be called The Wolverine.

Aronofsky revealed the title and insight to the story with HitFix.

The rumored story of the screenplay, written by Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects), will feature Logan in a romance with a Japanese woman who is married to another man. To win her hand, he must battle her samurai-filled family. It’s based on the Chris Claremeont/Frank Miller mini-series from 1982.  Shooting begins in March 2011, no set release date yet.
