Here we are, City Strip #89, it’s a classic I must say.  We all love it when the suits get together in a room and come up with a Hollywood idea.  I don’t think any of you would put this one past them now would you?  Enjoy the new comic, tell your friends and share.  It’s the nice thing to do.

The City Strip #87 – Breaking News Feed

Monday, January 23rd, 2012

citystripgangWelcome to another week here in the City of Films.  Issue #87 of the City Strip is over here for your viewing pleasure.  In case you still missed it, during Kevin’s break over the holidays he put together this great look at Easter eggs that could be seen in the City Strip.

It doesn’t cover every single one, but it’s a good cheat sheet if you want to see most of them without trying.  Go back and look at each comic anyways, Monday’s should be neglected.

citystrip

The City Strip is back!  Comic # 85 is good to go on our main Strip page, so do check it out.  This is going to be a very big year for the webcomic as we look forward to celebrating 100 comics later this year.  Six seasons and a movie?  Sure why not.  Kevin went AWOL for a month, but he came back after seeing what Ryan was up to in his absence.  As a gift around the holidays he also gave us this special look at some Easter eggs he’s placed in his work.

We welcome you back to The City Strip, let’s get on with it.

kevinLet’s put it all on the table shall we? Kevin Fraser, our comic artist has taken a leave of absence from the City Strip for the rest of the year. OK fair enough, he works hard (so I’m told).  Yet it quickly came to our attention this past weekend that Monday’s still exist with or without the City Strip…messed up right?

So we went into panic mode; Ryan and I quickly starting calling, emailing, skyping…everything short sending a flare signal to get Kevin to come back. Nothing. He’s gone, and not returning until January 2012.

Well guess what? You think we don’t got this? We so got this. Ladies and gentlemen…Ryan has put his talents to the test and created a brand new City Strip! Check it out here…and if for some reason you have feelings of deja vu when reading it…it’s because of the recent time shift and Earth’s axis and such. Yes, that will do.  Enjoy!

city-stripA timely comic featuring my favorite Muppets, what’s not to love?  Enjoy this weeks NEW COMIC and check back next week to see the last City Strip of 2011.  What’s Kevin going to do for a month?  Well he says see his family and friends, but I suspect drugs.  Oh Kevin, you and your habits.

It’s Monday, and that means it’s time for an all new City Strip, in 3D THX with a floating Yoda! Ok, not really but that would be cool right?

Mr. Lucas was in our little hate filled spotlight not too long ago [#71], we might need to take a break for awhile. Kevin will go back to taking shots at M. Night Shyamalan [#16].

See the latest City Strip here!

headsHey would you look at that, we had some more Halloween material. This one isn’t just “based” on a true story, it is the true story. There are a few comics left before little Kevin takes his much deserved break. Check out this year’s Halloween special [part 1, part 2] and enjoy this week’s new comic, leftover sweetness if you will.

Kevin’s other works can be seen here on his deviantart and you can hear his voice on The City of Films Show Series 1.

It’s the exciting conclusion to the City Strip Halloween Special [part 1 here], it’s fate that it’s landed on October 31st too don’t you think?  Part 2 (comic #80) is everything you might expect from a Halloween themed edition; it’s dark, funny, detailed and long as hell.  I don’t how Kevin does it – see last year’s three part special starting hereHave a great Halloween everyone!

City-of-Films-Halloween-Promo-2011It’s that time again for The City Strip to deliver the frights!  It’s Halloween and better than candy, we have big two-part comic to share, you’re welcome.

Part 1 can be seen here.  Check back Monday (that’s October 31st) for the creepy conclusion.

You can also go back to last year’s Halloween Special starting with part 1 here.

I love when our comic artist Kevin rolls up his sleeves and goes above and beyond to share these great comics with us.  He seems to have a lot of fun with it, our writing session for these particular comics had us laughing up a storm.  Storm I say!  Enjoy as we did.
