Comic-Con: Red Band Trailer for Frank Miller’s SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR

Monday, July 28th, 2014

The trailer below was previously shown at the Hall H panel at the San Diego Comic-Con, Dimension Films has now released the extended Red Band trailer for Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.

I have just enough enthusiasm for this movie to get me to go see it; I loved the first one but feel they waited far too long to bring the gang back and from what I’m seeing, they offer little reward for the wait other than the same old. Still, it looks great and should be fun; I wonder though how many people will actually go see it and fear this could be a bomb waiting to happen. I hope I’m wrong.

Trailer for THEY CAME TOGETHER Starring the Adorable Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler

Tuesday, April 29th, 2014

Here is the first trailer for They Came Together from director David Wain’s (Wet Hot American Summer). The film is a spoof of the traditional rom-com movie formula; you’ll notice just about every cliché in the book when it comes to the genre here in this trailer alone.  I laughed, and that’s what matter at the end of the day.

The film also stars Ed Helms, Cobie Smulders, Christopher Meloni, Ken Marino (yes!), Melanie Lynskey, Jason Mantzoukas, and Max Greenfield.

They Came Together opens in theaters and on VOD on June 27th., watch the trailer below:

First Trailer for SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR

Thursday, March 6th, 2014

Here is the anticipated first trailer for Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s Sin City sequel Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.  Josh Brolin stars as the “physically-altered” Dwight (Clive Owen in the first film), who is hunted down by the only woman he ever loved, Ava Lord (Eva Green), and then watches his life go straight to hell.  He says the title in the movie!  It’s good to see Mickey Rourke on the screen again; he owned this role back in 2005 and seems to be back at home here.

The film also stars Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Dennis Haysbert, Christopher Meloni, Jeremy Piven, Ray Liotta, Juno Temple, Stacy Keach, and Julia Garner.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For opens on August 22nd, watch the trailer below:

Super New Trailer for Zack Snyder’s MAN OF STEEL

Tuesday, December 11th, 2012

Here is a new trailer that Warner Bros. has released for Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel starring Henry Cavill as Superman.  It’s not your typical superhero action based movie trailer that’s for sure; it asks what would you think if Superman really existed?

The tone feels somber and mournful much like the marketing for Superman Returns, which was actually an OK film.  Will the Last Son of Krypton finally have a great movie is the question.

We also get a look at Amy Adama as Lois Lane, the great Michael Shannon as Zod, Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent, and Diane Lane as  Martha Kent.

Man of Steel opens on June 14, 2013.

Trailer For Jackie Robinson Biopic 42 Starring Chadwick Boseman

Friday, September 21st, 2012

42-posterDirector Brian Helgeland (Payback, A Knights Tales) is back with the Jackie Robinson biopic, 42, and we have the terrific trailer below.  Chadwick Boseman impresses in this trailer that also features a surprising supporting role from Harrison Ford as general manager Branch Rickey; surprising because he’s not trying to protect his family for a change.

Robinson broke Major League Baseball’s color barrier when he joined the roster of the Brooklyn Dodgers, this biopic will tell his tale when it opens April 12th, 2013.

FYI: The effective song in the trailer is Brooklyn Go Hard by Jay-Z.

Teaser Trailers for Zack Snyder’s MAN OF STEEL

Sunday, July 22nd, 2012

Some of you may have seen the teaser for Man of Steel this weekend attached to The Dark Knight Rises, it was pretty great I must say.  A true teaser trailer, and it’s always good to hear the amazing LOTR soundtrack again.

There are two teasers, basically the same but with one narrated by Kevin Costner (Jonathan Kent) and the other (my favorite of the two) by Russell Crowe (Jor-El).  Zack Snyder‘s Man of Steel hits theaters June 14 2013.

The film is from director Zack Snyder and producers Charles Roven, Christopher Nolan, Emma Thomas and Deborah Snyder. The screenplay was written by David S. Goyer from a story by Goyer & Nolan.
