I never saw Piranha 3D, I pretty much just imagined how it would be and that was good enough. I did hear good things, how it was very exploitative and aware of itself. We now have Piranha 3DD and a teaser trailer below.
The new film takes place in a water park; I didn’t see a lot of kids though, too bad. Check out the Hoff and Ving Rhames’s gun-leg below:
If anyone is going to sully the good name of Back to the Future by lending its legacy to commercials, I’m glad it’s Christopher Lloyd. The man deserves all the respect in the world for providing the world of cinema with the greatest films of all time. Here he is doing what can only be described as “something they will love in Argentina” for a…it doesn’t even matter – the Delorean is there! This isn’t the first time Lloyd played the Doc, remember the DirecTV commercial? Well both are below:
It has kept me up at night for years, and after what now must be around 100 viewings, I would still wonder how the heck a high school kid and a mad scientist came to be best of friends. Back to the Future co-writer Bob Gale came across this question at Mental Floss and gave us the actual origin story, I can rest now:
“For years, Marty was told that Doc Brown was dangerous, a crackpot, a lunatic. So, being a red-blooded American teenage boy, age 13 or 14, he decided to find out just why this guy was so dangerous. Marty snuck into Doc’s lab, and was fascinated by all the cool stuff that was there. When Doc found him there, he was delighted to find that Marty thought he was cool and accepted him for what he was. Both of them were the black sheep in their respective environments. Doc gave Marty a part-time job to help with experiments, tend to the lab, tend to the dog, etc. And that’s the origin of their relationship.”

ComingSoon.net posted several clips of when Universal Studios Home Entertainment reunited the cast and filmmakers of the Academy Award-winning “Back to the Future” franchise on October 25th 2010, just in time for its landmark 25th Anniversary. The Blu-ray hit stores today, I will post a review later this week when I’m done watching them all and playing with my BTTF toys again.

GameTrailers has put up a couple behind-the-scenes clips of Telltale Games‘ upcoming Back to the Future game, including a look at the new guy they got to voice Marty McFly; he sounds like a young Michael J. Fox. Great casting here, there is also a clip of Christopher Lloyd commenting on his input – good to see him as Doc once more, and the game’s creative staff setting up the premise of Telltale’s game. In June, it was announced that Telltale Games was developing a series of new episodic video games based off the Jurassic Park and Back to the Future movie franchises, in a deal with NBC Universal. We have a couple new updates, including our first look at concept art for the Back to the Future game.
I will be the first one to defend BTTF in everything it does, but I have no faith in this whatsoever. It’s coming out this winter and we have no screen shots or real news about it? Me thinks it’s going to be cheaply produced and just using voices and props from a film isn’t enough to satisfy any serious gamer or movie lover. I have a Wii and PS3 and I can’t imagine either systems showing me a well made Back to the Future game, and I hate myself for thinking it.
I can see however this being a small downloadable game, Telltale Games is kind of known for that (Monkey’s Island and Sam & Max games. They have produced games based on Wallace & Gromit, Homestar Runner and Tales of Monkey Island.)
What we know so far:
Tim Allen is Douglas Fir in the new Disney movie Arbor Daze…not really. Funny or Die has become one of the top destinations where TV and movie stars can go to make fun of themselves. Tim Allen spoofs himself and Disney films in general with this trailer that may seem all too familiar. My favorite FOD video? Christopher Lloyd as scary Willy Wonka murdering teenagers, right here.
