INTO THE WOODS Images; Anna Kendrick is Cinderella, Chris Pine is Prince Charming, and Johnny Depp is the Big Bad Wolf

Wednesday, July 30th, 2014

Director Rob Marshall’s (Chicago) adaptation of the Stephen Sondheim musical Into The Woods has appeared online. The Disney movie looks to put a modern twist on the Brothers Grimm fairy tales with intertwining plots from a few stories you may have read. It’s going to be a huge holiday movie I think; Marshall even had everyone sing live on set, and people love that. Sadly, we only get to see Johnny Depp’s hair arm.

Here’s the official synopsis:

Into the Woods” is a modern twist on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales, intertwining the plots of a few choice stories and exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests. This humorous and heartfelt musical follows the classic tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel—all tied together by an original story involving a baker and his wife (James Corden and Emily Blunt) their wish to begin a family and their interaction with the witch who has put a curse on them.

There should be a trailer soon so stay tuned! The film also stars Anna Kendrick as Cinderella , Meryl Streep as The Witch, Chris Pine as Prince Charming, Lucy Punch, Christine Baranski, Tracy Ullman, Lilla Crawford as Red Riding Hood, Daniel Huttlestone, Tammy Blanchard, Billy Magnussen, and Mackenzie Mauzy.

Into the Woods opens in theaters on December 25th 2014 – check out the images below:

Tuesday, July 1st, 2014

We have the first trailer for Horrible Bosses 2, directed by Sean Anders (That’s My Boy) and starring returning funny men Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, and Jason Sudeikis. You would think after all the crazy they caused in the first movie, these three would lay low and stay out of trouble. Of course, that’s just not hilarious. Watch the great trailer below and be prepared to fall in love with scene stealing Jennifer Aniston again.

Here is the synopsis:

Fed up with answering to higher-ups, Nick, Dale and Kurt decide to become their own bosses by launching their own business. But a slick investor (Christoph Waltz) soon pulls the rug out from under them. Outplayed and desperate, and with no legal recourse, the three would-be entrepreneurs hatch a misguided plan to kidnap the investor’s adult son (Chris Pine) and ransom him to regain control of their company.

Trailer for JACK RYAN: SHADOW RECRUIT Starring Chris Pine

Thursday, October 3rd, 2013

The trailer for Kenneth Branagh’s upcoming thriller Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit can be watched below.  It’s based on the late great Tom Clancy’s character and stars Chris Pine as Ryan, a Moscow-based financial analyst who faces off against his employer when he discovers a plot to finance a terrorist attack designed to collapse the U.S. economy.

Like most Jack Ryan movies, you’ll be treated to action, intrigue, and espionage.  I can’t say I’m a fan of any of the flicks but over the last few years it seems I’d watch co-star Kevin Costner make a sandwich if offered.

The film also stars Kenneth Branagh, Keira Knightley, David Paymer (one of the best “that guy” actors), and Peter Andersson.

Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit opens in theaters on Christmas Day, watch the trailer below:

Trailer For The “Comedy” ‘This Means War’ Has Tom Hardy and Chris Pine Fighting Over Reese Witherspoon

Friday, October 14th, 2011

If this is our first look at This Means War from director McG, I have concerns.  The action “comedy” stars Tom Hardy, Chris Pine and Reese Witherspoon, and is about two super-agents who fall for the same girl.  Boys will be boys right?  Wrong.  I think I already tell you how this movie is going to end, so spoiler alert…she’s a spy too!  And in good sitcom fashion at the end of the movie when they are putting her behind bars, they both still want her and they fumble over who gets to lock her up, cue blooper reel and angry moviegoers.

This Means War arrives in theaters on February 17th, 2012.

The world’s deadliest CIA operatives are inseparable partners and best friends until they fall for the same woman. Having once helped bring down entire enemy nations, they are now employing their incomparable skills and an endless array of high-tech gadgetry against their greatest nemesis ever – each other.
