The first trailer for St. Vincent fromwriter/director Theodore Melfi has arrived. Think Bad Santa in the summertime crossed with About A Boy. Bill Murray stars as a misanthropic, bawdy, hedonistic, war veteran who begrudgingly agrees to look after his divorced neighbor’s (Melissa McCarthy) young boy while she’s at work. These two are going to get into trouble!
It looks like a solid movie for Murray with some drama and comedic moments mixing well. The movie also stars Chris O’Dowd (Bridesmaids, The IT Crowd, Moone Boy) and Naomi Watts as a prostitute.
St. Vincent opens in theaters on October 14, 2014, watch the trailer below:
A new trailer [here is the first one] for director Judd Apatow’s This Is 40 is here, it’s a follow up to Knocked Up. The movie follows Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann’s characters as they approach middle age. I expect some laughs and crude humor, as well as some sweet moments; it’s an Apatow movie after all. Albert Brooks plays Rudd’s father, now that’s something to see.
The movie also stars Megan Fox, Chris O’Dowd, Lena Dunham, Ryan Lee, Charlene Yi, Robert Smigel, Wyatt Russell, Melissa McCarthy, Jason Segel and John Lithgow.
This Is 40 opens on December 21st, watch the trailer below:
Here is the first trailer for Judd Apatow’s This Is 40, the “sort-of sequel” to Knocked Up. It takes a look at the lives of Pete (Paul Rudd) and Debbie (Leslie Mann) a few years after the events of Knocked Up. There could be a great movie here, a dramedy of dealing with aging and adulthood is something Apatow should be good at as his body of work (Freaks and Geeks, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Funny People) has tackled it somewhat before.
This Is 40 opens on December 21st 2012.
Writer/director/producer Judd Apatow (The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Funny People) brings audiences This Is 40, an original comedy that expands upon the story of Pete (Paul Rudd) and Debbie (Leslie Mann) from the blockbuster hit Knocked Up as we see firsthand how they are dealing with their current state of life.
Here is the first trailer for the comedy Friends with Kids, it was written, directed by, and stars Jennifer Westfeldt (Kissing Jessica Stein). The rest of the stellar cast includes Adam Scott, Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Chris O’Dowd, Megan Fox and Edward Burns.
It’s another story of adult psychopaths doing something dumb teenagers wouldn’t even do, but they learn a lesson at the end, relatable to no one. Adam Scott should be in better movies don’t you think?
The last two singles in the group observe the effect that kids have had on their friends’ relationships and wonder if there’s a better way. They decide to have a kid together – and date other people.
Friends with Kids opens March 9th, watch the trailer below.
