master

Welcome to The CoF Weekend Preview, here is a look at what’s opening this weekend.  You might have noticed a few goodies this week like our Fall & Holiday Movie Guide, Kevin’s The Review and if you’re hanging around on weekends I’ll be dropping another Sunday Soundtrack.

The MasterRT (86%) – TrailerCoF

The Master expands on September 21st but will be playing in a few places this weekend so I figured I would give it the top spot as an excuse to look at Joaquin Phoenix’s face up there.  Look at it, he’s just so happy to be taking pictures.  I wish I loved anything as much as he loves taking pictures.  Oh yes, this movie is getting rave reviews (obviously) and I’ll post a review once I see it (twice).

Finding Nemo 3DRT (99%) – Trailer

This movie broke records at the box office as well as on home video.  So who’s going to go see this again and in 3D?  (Ed. Note: As I typed that, I was making a “I don’t get it” face.)

Resident Evil: RetributionRT (22%) – Trailer

This is why:

Director: Rich Moore
Stars: John C. Reilly, Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch, Sarah SilvermanAnalysis: Why hasn’t this idea been done already? It has so much potential with the inside jokes and nostalgia that we all want to see, or it won’t not do it enough so it needs a sequel. Let’s just hope they reference Iron Tank, best game ever.

Everyone loves movie trailers; we can’t get enough of them here in The City of Films. It’s an art form that stands alone from the film itself and has a remarkable power to move us. Trailers can give us chills, laughs, goose bumps and some even anger us. We can’t always post them all, so here’s where we play catch up; watch More Trailers:
