Welcome to The CoF Weekend Preview, here is a look at what’s opening this weekend and what else you might want to watch. Check back Monday for a new City Strip, I know I will.

AMERICAN REUNIONRT (45%) – Trailer

I didn’t see any of the “American Pie Presents” movies, I’m sure they’re terrible.  I’ve enjoyed the Pie trilogy and expect this “final” entry into the series will do it justice and be fun times.  I do hate the Stifler face still, that I could do without.

TITANICRT (87%) – Trailer

Good movie, bad script and now it’s all in 3D.  The special features on the DVD I have are some of the best bonus material around, you should check it out.

Have a happy Easter!  The Ten Commandments will be on TV somewhere.

Universal Pictures has released a restricted teaser trailer for American Reunion, an official sequel to the theatrical trilogy.  It looks like the gang is back to their old ways; Biggs here is still trying to wank off on a regular basis.  I hope they just stick to the same formula that worked before, gross us out, make us cringe and then bring it all home with a touching moment.

‘American Reunion’ Plot Revealed

Tuesday, August 2nd, 2011

American-ReunionAmerican Pie has had some DVD sequels, and you should forget all about them.  A theatrical sequel is on its way and the original cast is returning for an American Reunion.  I’ll admit I’m looking forward to it, mainly because the gens behind the comical Harold and Kumar movies are making it happen.  In American Reunion the whole gang gets back together again for their high school reunion.  Here’s the official synopsis for the film that was released by Universal Pictures:

In the comedy American Reunion, all the American Pie characters we met a little more than a decade ago are returning to East Great Falls for their high-school reunion. In one long-overdue weekend, they will discover what has changed, who hasn’t and that time and distance can’t break the bonds of friendship. Oz and Heather grew apart, but Finch still longs for Stifler’s mom. Now these lifelong friends have come home as adults to reminisce about—and get inspired by—the hormonal teens who launched a comedy legend.

The movie is set to be directed by Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, and it stars Jason Biggs, Alyson Hannigan, Chris Klein, Natasha Lyonne, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Tara Reid, Seann William Scott, Mena Suvari, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Jennifer Coolidge, and Eugene Levy.
