In January 2010, Steven Soderbergh‘s documentary, And Everything is Going Fine, was released at Utah’s Slamdance Film Festival. The film was compiled from film and video clips of Gray’s early life and career. After Spalding Gray’s tragic death by apparent suicide, his widow asked the director to make a documentary about her late husband. The result is And Everything is Going Fine, which is presented as a tribute by Steven Soderbergh the director.
His widow Ms. Russo gave Soderberg hours upon hours of tapes to make the film.

And Everything is Going Fine opens on December 10.
