Trailer for Billy Bob Thornton’s JAYNE MANSFIELD’S CAR

Here is the first trailer for Billy Bob Thornton’s first feature directing job in over a decade, Jayne Mansfield’s Car. The film takes place in the 1960′s and revolves around a man whose wife left him and moved England. She has died and wishes to be returned to Alabama; cue the culture clash.

Thornton wrote, directed, and starred in one of my favorite movies of all time, Sling Blade. This looks to be a return to form with a solid cast and blend of both comedy and drama. This will certainly be on my radar once it gets a distribution deal and release date. The cast I referred to includes Robert Duvall (legend), John Hurt, Kevin Bacon (loving his role here), Frances O’Connor, Robert Patrick (wow he looks different), and Ray Stevenson.
