If you went to see UP, there is a good chance you have seen the teaser trailer for TS3. You may also know that Toy Story 1 & 2 are returning to theaters in 3D later this year. So needless to say the Toy Story fix is coming, and the hype for number 3 will be huge. So will it live up to it? What do you say Pixar?
SciFi Wire caught up with animator Angus MacLane at the Saturn Awards (he was responsible for Burn-E and has been with Pixar since Toy Story 2) and he spilled a few secrets.
“I feel like we’ve grown up making these movies, and each of the films represents where the filmmakers were at the time of making the films,” MacLane said. “Certainly we’re approaching this film 10 years later, so I think we’re sort of coming at it from the standpoint of [Andy] has grown up, and we’ve grown up with these toys, and we have a reverence for them, but we also have different things as a priority.”
Could TS3 be as heartwarming and tender as recent Pixar works? Do they still have it after 10 years? Disney killed the animated sequel, so where is my trust now? We wait.
