The Man of Steel Will Fly Again

Recent reports stated that Christopher Nolan mentoring the new Superman film were flase, so says DC and WB.  Today we find out that David Goyer who has worked with Nolan on his Batman films, has been hired to write the new Superman film, The Man of Steel.

Latino Review
reports that Lex Luthor and Braniac are part of Goyer’s script, which is not an origin story. They also say that a story point is the financial struggle of The Daily Planet, which is floundering like so many real-world papers. Finally, LR mentions the story setting up a “huge Kryptonian mythology.”  Brandon Routh will not star, and Bryan Singer is not expected to direct.

I am glad we don’t have to sit through another origin story; I think the world gets the whole Superman thing by now.  David Goyer on the other hand, the man got lucky.  Some of his previous writing credits include: Kickboxer 2, The Puppet Masters and Blade Trinity.  What no time for a Leprechaun movie?

All in all, it’s about time Superman came back.  I imagine it will be IMAX and 3D and all that jazz too.  Just don’t mess it up, use your imagination and get something like this on the big screen.
