I was basically sold on seeing the new Mission Impossible this December in IMAX because of the great trailer and the fact that Tom Cruise is awesome. Now we get this: Warner Bros. plans to attach a six minute prologue to The Dark Knight Rises to all IMAX prints of Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. So you’re going right? Me too.
Warner Bros. attached the opening sequence to The Dark Knight to I Am Legend back in 2007 if this all sounds familiar. Two different directors and two different studios can obviously see where the mutual benefit is in doing this kind of crossover. So audiences will get their first chance at seeing The Dark Knight Rises footage in IMAX on December 16.
