The first episode of director Kevin Tancharoen’s Mortal Kombat: Legacy has been released online. It looks like each of the 9 episodes (web series) will focus on different Mortal Kombat characters. In this episode we have Major Jackson ‘Jax’ Briggs (Michael Jai White) and Lt. Sonya Blade (Jeri Ryan).
This looks really well done, and with more violence that I thought. I’m not sure if this is a test run for bigger and better things, perhaps a TV series? A feature film? Either way, this should please the hardcore MK fans and novices alike.
