Here is the first trailer for director Tom Hooper’s (The Kings Speech) Les Misérables, it’s a great trailer that shows off the cast but more importantly the beautiful cinematography.  The world’s longest-running musical needs to be on the big screen in a big way and it looks like they pulled it off, it’s going to be epic.

For fans of the play our cast looks like this: Anne Hathaway (Fantine), Hugh Jackman (Jean Valjean), Russell Crowe (Javert), Amanda Seyfried (Cosette), Eddie Redmayne (Marius), Samantha Barks (Éponine), Sacha Baron Cohen (Thénardier), and Helena Bonham Carter (Madame Thénardier).

Set against the backdrop of 19th-century France, Les Misérables tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption–a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit.
