Paul Reubens has been enjoying a comeback with a Broadway version of The Pee-Wee Herman Show. Good news for those not in NYC, HBO has announced they will film a special immediately following the show’s conclusion on Broadway on January 2nd and will air it sometime in 2011. HBO helped launch the character of Pee-Wee on their Young Comedians series and with a 1981 comedy special. The new show reunites Herman (Paul Reuben) with all his friends including Miss Yvonne, Cowboy Curtis, Pterri the Pterodactyl, Jambi the Genie, and Chairry. I’ve heard some great things about the show, and warnings to leave the kids at home for this one. [Official site]
