Finally just what the doctor ordered, more Ricky Gervais news. This addition comes in the form of something major actually. His recent film CEMETERY JUNCTION (formally known as The Men at the Pru) has begun production! The film is written by Gervais and long time collaborator Stephen Merchant. It will also to be directed by the pair and star Ralph Fiennes, Emily Watson, and Matthew Goode. Every day I visit Ricky’s Blog (yeah, I’m that guy) and he is probably the only person I know who updates with just great detail, this is probably why we don’t read a lot of lies and garbage about him in the papers, he spills it all out of us anyways. What a nice fellow. He had this to say the other day:
So it’s finally here. We start filming Cemetery Junction today. I will be keeping a record and posting pictures and stuff from the set. Today in 1942, Anne Frank began her famous diary chronicling her family’s hideout during the Nazi occupation. We all love blogging.
And now more on CEMETERY JUNCTION from his site including some set pictures:

CEMETERY JUNCTION tells the funny, touching and universal story of being trapped in a small town and dreaming of escape. In 1970s England, three blue-collar friends spend their days joking, drinking, fighting and chasing girls. Freddie (Christian Cooke) wants to leave their working-class world but cool, charismatic Bruce (Tom Hughes) and lovable loser Snork (Jack Doolan) are happy with life the way it is.
When Freddie gets a new job as a door-to-door salesman and bumps into his old school sweetheart Julie (Felicity Jones), the gang are forced to make choices that will change their lives forever. Ricky and Stephen Merchant say, “CEMETERY JUNCTION is going to be glossy and glorious, full of humor, romance and drama, as well as our usual observations on the truth and absurdity of real life.”
