We don’t do a lot of Box Office news on CoF, I can’t imagine a lot of people caring. I always find it interesting and tend to look at the numbers during the week in fact. Does that make me weird?
I guess what I will do from now on is post Box Office news when something worth talking about happens, like this past weekend for example. Toy Story 3 opened with $109 million take, making it the biggest start for a Pixar movie ever. By comparison, The Incredibles opened with just $70.5 million. Toy Story 3 was second only to Shrek the Third for animated openings, and now ranks #10 on the all-time opening weekend list, just ahead of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Is anyone surprised? I love those toys! I find it interesting that no one really talks about the box office for Tom Hanks and Tim Allen (Woody & Buzz) – it’s like the toys are really looked at as stars, fantastic.
