According to AintItCool, MGM has permanently cancelled all development on the next James Bond movie as the studio continues to be in the poor house. We reported a few months back that production was halted, so we can’t say we are surprised. I don’t blame the economy, I blame the Hobbitses. Sam Mendes was to direct with Daniel Craig starring again, alas this may never happen.
It could be years before the secret agent with a licence to kill is back on the big screen. I smell a reboot, James Bond Jr. style!
