Spider-Man

Columbia Pictures  and Marvel Studios have announced that 26-year-old British actor Andrew Garfield (Boy A seemed to be the only movie worth mentioning from his IMDB) has been cast as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in Marc Webb’s 3D Spider-Man reboot. On selecting Garfield, director Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer) said, “Though his name may be new to many, those who know this young actor’s work understand his extraordinary talents. He has a rare combination of intelligence, wit, and humanity. Mark my words, you will love Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker.”

I can’t even being to tell you how relieved I am that they cast someone over the age of 18.  I was scared we would get a bieber-fied super hero movie.  Spider-Man in 3D hits July 3, 2012. The new film will begin production in early December directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay by James Vanderbilt (2007′s best movie, Zodiac).

  1. I'd also like to know who's playing MJ. The IMDB page wasn't up when I last checked.

  2. JBgood says:
