The action romantic comedy Hit and Run has a trailer below, and it’s clear that it would have worked better as a re-band but what can you do? Dax Shepard writes, directs and stars in the movie; he plays as an ex-getaway driver who exits the Witness Protection program to drive his girlfriend to Los Angeles.
Their road trip grows awkwardly complicated, when they are chased by the feds, and increasingly dangerous, when Charlie’s former gang of criminals enter the fray. That would be Bradley Cooper in the dreads.
Watch the trailer below, Hit and Run hits theaters on August 24th.

Orlando Bloom isn’t looking so good in the recent trailer for the Lance Daly directed film The Good Doctor. He has a Lloyd Christmas haircut and a strange way of keeping girls in his life. A dark role for the dream boat can’t be a bad thing can it?
Martin Blake (Orlando Bloom) is an ambitious but anxious young doctor, eager to impress his superiors and colleagues: but things are not going Martin’s way and he can’t seem to shake off his insecurities. When 18-year-old patient Diane (Riley Keough) is admitted for a kidney infection, Martin steps in, getting the much-needed boost of self-esteem he craves. But things take a dark turn as his enthusiasm begins to become an obsession.
The Good Doctor opens on August 31st, here’s the trailer:

Last night on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Will Ferrell showed the first trailer for The Campaign starring Zach Galifianakis and Will Ferrell, and it looks surprisingly funny. I say surprisingly because I haven’t laughed at much of anything these guys have done in some time.
The film also stars Jason Sudeikis, Dylan McDermott, Brian Cox, John Lithgow, and Dan Aykroyd.
The Campaign opens August 10th. After the jump read a full synopsis and watch the trailer:

Here is the first trailer for Ruben Fleischer‘s (Zombieland) Gangster Squad starring everyone cool in Hollywood. The trailer is awesome, but that’s easy for me to say because I love watching anything that takes us back to the 1940s. Sean Penn is gangster Mickey Cohen, Josh Brolin is the head of the LA task force trying to bring him down.
The film stars Ryan Gosling, Josh Brolin, Sean Penn, Emma Stone, Nick Nolte, Michael Peña, Anthony Mackie, and Giovanni Ribisi. Gangster Squad opens this year.
Los Angeles, 1949. Ruthless, Brooklyn-born mob king Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn) runs the show in this town, reaping the ill-gotten gains from the drugs, the guns, the prostitutes and–if he has his way–every wire bet placed west of Chicago. And he does it all with the protection of not only his own paid goons, but also the police and the politicians who are under his control. It’s enough to intimidate even the bravest, street-hardened cop…except, perhaps, for the small, secret crew of LAPD outsiders led by Sgt. John O’Mara (Josh Brolin) and Jerry Wooters (Ryan Gosling), who come together to try to tear Cohen’s world apart. “The Gangster Squad” is a colorful retelling of events surrounding the LAPD’s efforts to take back their nascent city from one of the most dangerous mafia bosses of all time.

Matthew McConaughe plays a killer, is that a first? If Kate Hudson isn’t around, that even better. You can watch the trailer for Killer Joe below, in the NC-17-rated film Emile Hirsch and his father Thomas Haden Church hire cop/hitman Matthew McConaughey to murder their mother in order to get her insurance policy.
Killer Joe was directed by Academy Award winner William Friedkin (The Exorcist, The French Connection) and also stars Juno Temple and Gina Gershon.

Here is the first trailer for Ben Affleck’s Argo, it’s a great look at the film that if it turns out as good as it looks here, would make a hat trick of terrific features for Affleck (Gone Baby Gone, The Town).
Based on a true story, Argo follows a CIA agent (Affleck) who attempts to rescue six Americans trapped in the home of the Canadian ambassador during the 1979 Iranian Revolution. The rescue mission was to go in under the auspices of filming a science fiction movie entitled “Argo”. The film’s cast alone makes for something to see, we get Bryan Cranston, John Goodman, Kyle Chandler, Kerry Bishe, Alan Arkin, Philip Baker Hall and Victor Garber.
Argo opens October 12th, watch the trailer below.

Neighborhood Watch has a new red band trailer and to distance itself from the Trayvon Martin case in Florida, it will now simply be called The Watch. The movie looks entertaining still, what’s in a title anyways? The film stars Vaughn, Hill, Stiller and Richard Ayoade. I suspect from the trailer there was a lot of ad-libbing on this one, nothing wrong with that when it comes to comedy I think.
An outrageous comedy in which four everyday suburban guys (played by Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, Jonah Hill and Richard Ayoade) come together to form a neighborhood watch group, but only as an excuse to escape their humdrum lives one night a week. But when they accidentally discover that their town has become overrun with aliens posing as ordinary suburbanites, they have no choice but to save their neighborhood — and the world — from total extermination.

"I'm back."
The Expendables 2 much like the first installment won’t be winning any major awards, but it’s sure going to be fun. Van Damme is the villian here and is looking to get his hands on a lot of plutonium or something.
Watch the trailer below, The Expendables 2 opens on August 17th.
