So this isn’t going to be a rant about how the Silver Samurai is a giant robot and how I am totally against it. I don’t care much about how closely the character follows the original source material. I am a very casual fan when it comes to the Marvel universe. I’ve enjoyed some of the movies and hated the others. Well there is a new trailer for The Wolverine and it looks pretty action packed. It also doesn’t seem so heavily focused on mutant powers an abilities as some of the other X-Men movies. Watch the new trailer below, courtesy of IGN and see what you think!
The Wolverine opens July 26, 2013.
I think Shaun of The Dead and Hot Fuzz are both due for a re-watch.
The World’s End will be released on July 19, 2013 in the United Kingdom and on August 23, 2013 in North America.
Man of Steel, a film that many of us probably wrote off in the beginning, is fast becoming one of the biggest must see movies of the summer.
Each trailer has improved on the last and we’ve seen some incredible images so far, yet it feels as though they’re wisely holding a lot back. Too many movies nowadays release so much footage that by the time the film comes out, you’ve already seen a good 20 minutes of it. Man of Steel still has just under a month to go until its release so I may end up eating my words there.
Check out the final trailer for Man of Steel! It features a great voice-over by Michael Shannon as well as some cool new action pieces we haven’t seen yet.
Another trailer has been released for Guillermo Del Toro’s Pacific Rim. I wasn’t too excited for this, but with each trailer it’s beginning to really grow on me. Monsters (known as Kaiju) come from the sea and humans build giant robots to defend themselves (know as Jaegers)
The scale on this flick looks amazing, it has to be seen on the big screen. This is what summer movies are all about, hmm what other clichés can I throw in here? Oh! Tour de force. Nailed it. The film stars Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day, and Ron Perlman.
Pacific Rim opens in 3D on July 12th. Will you be checking it out? Will it put Transformers to shame?
Watch the trailer after the jump below, here’s a gif to hold you over.
FYI: The first Guillermo del Toro film to feature Ron Perlman as a human character since Cronos. Guillermo del Toro’s other films with Ron Perlman (Hellboy series) feature him as a non-human character.
Here is the first trailer for the upcoming comedy Last Vegas. The film stars Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman, and Kevin Kline as four old friends who decide to throw a bachelor party for Douglas’ character, the only one of them who has remained single.
We all said it was The Hangover for our dads, it looks like the studio isn’t afraid to admit it. That being said, it looks better than The Hangover. I like the lead actors, especially Douglas, so having them all together is just going to be fun.
The film also stars Mary Steenburgen, Jerry Ferrara, Romany Malco, and Roger Bart. Last Vegas opens on November 1st.
Over the past week the networks have been sharing some TV trailers and first looks for the fall season, I noticed three for different reasons and figured I would share them. What are you looking forward to? Also, is it just me or is TV getting better these days?
If you know me, you know that I love the Riddick films and have been eagerly awaiting the third film for quite some time now. It’s not like I have a crush on Vin Diesel or anything…what!? I don’t! Well, maybe a small one…just a smidgen.
Universal Pictures finally released a new trailer for Riddick via Machinima and I was very excited to see new footage from the film. The previous teaser was only twenty seconds long so this gives us a much better look at the film.
So check out the trailer, as well as the brand new poster, below!
