Any trailer that uses the song ‘Road to Nowhere’ by Talking Heads is just fine in my books, so here we have Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World starring Steve Carell and Keira Knightley, that’s an odd combination I must say.  The movie is rated R which is great news, because if I knew the world was going to end, I would let the expletives fly!

The cast includes  Adam Brody (The OC), Rob Corddry (Children’s Hospital), Gillian Jacobs (Community), Derek Luke (Antoine Fisher), Melanie Lynskey (Away We Go), T.J. Miller (Cloverfield), Patton Oswalt (Big Fan) and William Petersen (CSI).

Set in a too-near future, a man searches for a meaningful connection as humanity’s last days are at hand. Can he find his greatest love at the worst possible time? As the respective journeys of Dodge and Penny converge, the two spark to each other and their outlooks – if not the world’s – brighten.

Seeking will be released on June 22 and the trailer can be watched below:

If you checked out our Facebook page yesterday you probably saw the image of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone in the hospital together getting shoulder surgery.  Well have no fear, that the pair are will be back on the big screen together in an upcoming action/thriller says deadline.  The Tomb is about a prison designer (Stallone) who is imprisoned in his own design, and must rely on a seasoned con (Schwarzenegger) to escape.

The two actors are in and Mikael Håfström (The Rite, 1408) is set to direct.  The film will shoot this spring. Miles Chapman (Road House 2) wrote the screenplay with Jason Keller (Machine Gun Preacher, Mirror Mirror) doing a rewrite.

The Tomb follows Ray Breslin (Stallone) who is the world’s foremost authority on structural security. He’s analyzed every high security prison and has gained a vast array of survival skills. But all Ray’s ingenuity and knowledge are about to be put to work in the most challenging test he’s ever faced: escaping from the master prison of his own design. Schwarzenegger, in the role of Church, plays a complex inmate with multiple shades of grey. He’s the guy who fights to keep the prisoners from losing their humanity in their darkest hour as they struggle together to stay alive.

The cast for the baseball drama Trouble with the Curve just got another dose of awesome with John Goodman joining.  We know that Clint Eastwood is set to play a baseball scout going blind who decides to take his daughter (played by Amy Adams) on one last scouting trip. Justin Timberlake also signed on to play a former pitcher and current scout who takes a liking to Adams.

Variety reports that Goodman has signed on to play “an old-school scout and long-time friend of Eastwood’s character who still believes in the man’s ability to spot talent”.  I like the sounds of that; while a legend in his own right, Goodman is no stranger to working along side icons such as Al Pacino (Sea of Love) and Denzel Washington (Fallen).  It’s always a pleasure to see John Goodman on screen, as you may have seen him recently in The Artist and he’s currently working on the sequel to Monsters Inc. with Billy Crystal.

Two Best Picture nominees each have a video worth your time below, I named Hugo the best film of 2011 but The Artist wouldn’t be far behind.  One of them is sure to win the top award come Oscar night and it would be just fine with me either way.

The studio behind Hugo has released a six-minute featurette titled “The Magic of Hugo,” which goes behind the scenes with Scorsese, editor Thelma Schoonmaker, production designer Dante Ferretti, producer Graham King, visual effects supervisor Robert Legato, composer Howard Shore, and stars Ben Kingsley and Sacha Baron Cohen to discuss the project.

The first trailer for The Bourne Legacy is here and all eyes are on Jeremy Renner.  The trailer does a good job at telling us to forget Jason Bourne and introduces us to Aaron Cross played by Renner.

The editing still looks the same: fast and furious with a lot of bones breaking, all par for the course in these action movies I suppose.  The film also stars Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Stacy Keach, Oscar Isaac, Albert Finney, Joan Allen, David Strathairn, and Scott Glenn.

The Bourne Legacy opens August 3rd, watch the trailer below:

The narrative architect behind the Bourne film series, Tony Gilroy, takes the helm in the next chapter of the hugely popular espionage franchise that has earned almost $1 billion at the global box office: The Bourne Legacy. The writer/director expands the Bourne universe created by Robert Ludlum with an original story that introduces us to a new hero (Jeremy Renner) whose life-or-death stakes have been triggered by the events of the first three films.

Take This Waltz is the latest effort from Sarah Polley who last directed the fantastic film Away From Her in 2006.  Take This Waltz is a funny, bittersweet and heart-wrenching story about a woman struggling to choose between two different types of love.

The film stars Michelle Williams and Seth Rogen as a couple struggling with said fidelity; it also has Sarah Silverman playing Rogen’s sister.  Look for a June 29th limited release and watch the trailer below:

Here is a comprehensive documentary about one of the best movies of all time, Raiders of the Lost Ark.  It includes interviews, rare behind the scenes footage, and photos put together and details with a commentary track that by the looks of things, gives the extras on the DVDs a run for their money.

It’s a must-see for fans of the film or any nerd looking to make their own feature commentary/documentary about something near and dear to their heart.  This is the new standard, good luck.
